Are these heat safe/oven safe up to 300F? If they are just made from aluminum, they should be, correct?

They have a plasic liner in the lid will melt. Also if for food or cosmetic use I wouldn't heat anything in aluminium to 300F. Go glass or steel.

Can someone please tell me the outer dimensions of the container with the lid off (and with the lid on if not too much trouble)?

Lid off is 2 1/2” Lid on at the top is also 2 1/2” Lid on at its Mac point is about 2 3/4”. By that I mean the bottom of the lid is a little flared.
