The non slip main center section is excellent. The negative part are the 4 smooth sided fringes.They need some form of ridging to make them non slip. Wet feet slip on this fringe: especially us 'Seniors.' A typical example of designers not testing the product before mfg. I have 2 other similar floor mats which while not looking quite as decorative, work better due problem mentioned.

I have two of them one in front of the cooktop and the second one by the sink and dishwasher. They are comfortable to stand on and are non-slip and don’t show dirt easily. They are easy to clean is something drops on it from cooktop.
