Another Page Turning Read!
Our heroine Wendy has a different kind of problem than the other women in this series. Not to say it isn't as formidable, just different. Working two jobs to support her and her brother, she gets to know Aspen aka Blade while cold calling as a telemarketer. From the first time Blade speaks to her he knows she's different somehow and they now speak often. He however is ready to take this relationship to the next level. He wants to meet in person, in public of course so she feels safe.Wendy's brother Jack is a trip, he's smart, funny and has a protective streak. He paves the way for Blade after the major screw-up of a blind date with Wendy. As is par for any relationship things don't go completely smooth and there is plenty of drama over Wendy's secret and some angst as well. Plenty of fun and laughter and maybe even a few tears.More importantly though is the way bullying is handled in this book. Jackson's girlfriend Jenny and her drama group are being targeted. Jenny in particular because Jackson and his friends stand up to the bullies. Now you know darn good and well Blade and his team aren't going to stand by and watch either. We get to see all our favorite characters in this one, well except for Fish, although he does have a video call with Jack's robotics club.Annie is precocious as ever at the performance of 'The Little Mermaid' which has Jack's girl Jenny as Ursula. The things that happen after that performance really amp up the plot.Needless to say I loved this book. Susan takes on bullying with finesse and class. Plus Susan is a notable tease and at the end of Rescuing Casey she threw out a few bombshells that had many of us gasping. In this book one of the major ones comes to head and boils over. Of course this is just setting us up for Rescuing Mary, is it October yet?

FANTASTIC! Loved it!
This is such a sweet story and a little different from Stoker’s other stories. It still focuses on one main couple, Wendy and Blade, and it shares tidbits from the rest of the Delta family, letting us catch up on news from them as well as giving us some hints of things to come but this one does not focus on the ‘damsel in distress’ in the true sense of the word. But there is conflict, plenty of suspense, emotions, family, turmoil, and a sweet romance that will leave you wanting more. I was fascinated with Blaze from his appearance in other books and have been looking forward to his story and his happy ending. Wendy, I was on the fence about in the beginning but I warmed up to her rather quickly the more I learned about her background and what she was hiding/running from. She and her brother have been through a lot and I liked the fact that they looked out for each other and were a strong family unit who relied and depended on each other. I also enjoyed Blade and the other Delta’s interaction with her brother and helping him out in his time of need. I love how they all banded together in battle and at home to be there for each other and help out. This book also reveals a shocking secret, that those who have read the past books in the series know Stoker has been hinting at before, and it causes a huge rift in the group as a whole and shatters their trust. A tense situation of danger helps to re-establish some of their bonds but it will take more than working together in a dangerous situation to repair the damage done. I am hopeful for a positive outcome in the final installment of the series, Rescuing Mary. I have been looking forward to Mary and Truck’s story and I know it will be a doozy. Though this book revisits the other Delta’s and their families, it is Wendy and Blade’s story and can be read as a stand-alone.

A bit different from the rest of the series but in a good way.
Aspen (Blade) Carlisle meet Wendy when she cold calls him and tries to sell him and insurance policy. I love that concept. They talked for months without knowing what the other looked like. He liked her for who she was inside and her him. They finally meet after a mixup and well Wendy has big secrets she is keep from him and it finally gets to him after one incredible afternoon and then well it didn't end well. You will have to read the book to find out how they got their HEA.Wendy has a brother, Jackson but he is known to his friends as Jack. He is an amazing you man who sticks up for people and rises to the bullies that are bothering him and his friends. It's an important story in this day and age and I thought that Ms. Stroker handled it successfully and believability. The truth is finally revealed about Mary and Truck and why they did what they did. When the truth comes out it cause a HUGE rift among all of the men and the women they love. No one is hurt more than Rayne by this revelation. This story line sets up what hopefully isn't the last book of the series, Rescuing Mary.Unlike the rest of the series there isn't a lot of action until the end of the story and Wendy isn't the one being rescued. So this story was different in that way as well as in the way they met.I can't wait for Mary and Truck's story but the thought that it might be the last book in the series is also sad. I hope it's not. Somehow I think there may be a novella after their story. . .hmmm.

One phonecall and Blade was hooked!
The Delta Force Heroes series has been amazing from the start and this book continues the high standards. We have all met Blade numerous times, but other than being willing to drop everything for the team, his 'family', we know very little else about him. He swept me off my feet in this book with his patience, understanding, passion, honor and determination - an irresistable combination!I did at times find Wendy a little frustrating, she is so secretive. But she is also strong, loyal, sweet, sexy and so in need of a man to stand by her and support her. Can Blade be that man? Can he go against all his natural instincts and stand next to her, rather than infront of her. Supporting her, not just protecting her? This will be his biggest challenge yet, but success will bring his biggest reward and greatest pleasure.I have to say I struggle to think of him as Aspen, he will always be 'Blade' in my head, but Blade and Wendy are an amazing couple who win your heart from the start.I cannot wait for the next book in the series which seems to have been a very long wait already - but with Truck and Mary there are going to be huge fireworks, which I am sure will more than make the wait worth while! I just hope that the hints have been wrong and this won't be the final book in the series, please let us have more!

Great read
Wendy and her brother Jackson, have a lot of secrets.Blade is attracted to Wendy from the start of their relationship, but her secrets, and her refusal to trust him, frustrates Blade. After years of running from the authorities, Wendy doesn't trust her secrets to anyone. To have a lasting relationship with Blade, Wendy has to learn to trust and let him help her.Towards the end of the story, the Delta team learn something that threatens their friendship and trust in each other. This is a well written story, which shows how hard it is to trust, and how easy trust can be lost.I enjoyed this story and am impatiently awaiting the next.

Another Good Read
Another interesting storyline for the Delta Team where we met Blade, Wendy and Jackson. Though this storyline was quite different from previous books it still had an easy flow about it and I enjoyed how Jackson played a hugh character part as well. With the introduction of his girlfriend Jenny will there be a book about them in the future especially with the storyline discussing robotics and Fish playing a significant role after his injury in previous books. Looking forward to Mary and Truck's story and seeing how the author will bring the series to a close.

A sweet Delta Force tale...
Loved this addition to the series featuring Blade and Wendy. I liked the unconventional way they met and although their story was a little different and not as action packed, it was sweet and well written and a great lead in to what I'm sure will be a fabulous end to the Delta Force series with Truck & Mary and that promised quadruple wedding!!!

While I enjoyed the book and love Susan Stokers novels in general
While I enjoyed the book and love Susan Stokers novels in general. This instalment was not my favourite.. There was a certain level of repetition in the story that was slightly irritating.. The book was slow moving in the middle where Wendy wouldn't confide her secrets to Blade yet, that felt like it dragged on and on... overall a decent novel but not nearly as good as others of Stokers...
