I used this grass mix to reseed my small front lawn. I have a sprinkler system installed and used peat moss over my topsoil and 10% sand mix to hold moisture and used a thin layer of peat moss to keep birds away instead of hay. I got about 70% germination which was disappointing. I had to do another round of seeding to several spots that did not take. It was a September planting with no frost and no super high temperatures for Southern Indiana. I am right of the edge of ideal grow zones. I will know more come spring on density and whether i may need to seed again. I did see some weed growth but i cannot confirm if it was from the seed or soil.

I always buy Scotts products. The other brands are not as good as Scotts and do not give you the same results. This seed comes with the fertilizer in it which makes it even easier. Also they stand behind their products if your not 100% satisfied. Great purchase!

I was recommended to buy blue grass from friend. I used 3 different kinds of grass seeds before. This seeds grow very slow and very thin grass which I kind of like but too slow and more money.
