Worked Perfectly
Our golden, Sadie, needed a dental cleaning badly. Being a soft-mouthed dog she will not chew on bones or toys to help keep her teeth clean. Brushing wasn't getting the job done completely. The vet quoted us over $800 for a teeth cleaning. I saw this product and gave it a try. We are VERY happy with this product. Sadie is a good girl and lets us handle her mouth. That being said, I can see where a dog that isn't as good as she is might pull back when the unit touches the teeth. You can't tell if the unit is on until it touches a tooth. Yes, we tried it. When it touches a tooth it vibrates just like a sonic toothbrush. There isn't any sound when the unit is on until it touches the tooth but even then it is very low, quieter than a sonic toothbrush. When it touched her tooth she slightly pulled back not from pain but from surprise but quickly realized it wasn't going to hurt her. The unit has 4 settings. We started with the lowest and had to work up to the 3rd setting. It was removing tarter on each of the lower settings but you had to repeat the area you were treating. When we progressed to the 3rd setting it then quickly started removing the built-up tarter making the process quicker and easier on Sadie. You need to slightly scrape the tooth at the bottom edge of the buildup being careful not to go into the gums. It was easy. We were able to clean 5 teeth to begin with. We decided to give her a break and do a few teeth per day until they were all clean. We also started on the front of the teeth knowing that working on the back of the teeth would be a bit more challenging, but it was still doable as she became more familiar with the routine. Her breath was better after the first session. The unit is rechargeable and held its charge and full power through 4 sessions before we choose to recharge. It is easy to clean. As of yet, we haven't needed to use any of the other tools that came with the unit but they are of good quality. We are very happy with this product. It has saved us over $800. Yes, it does take a bit of time to get the teeth clean but I estimate we worked on her about 15 minutes per session. Now brushing is easier and her breath is good and her teeth all white.

Almost as good as the vet dental cleanings!
I was skeptical when I got this since the before and after stock photos are obviously photoshopped, but I was proven wrong immediately. This product is amazing! My dog had his teeth professionally cleaned mid march, and only 4.5 months later, he has tartar and plaque buildup and his breath stinks again. The vet bill was $300 for his cleaning, and I wanted to save. Brushing hasn’t done enough. In 10 minutes, I was able to clean most of his front top canines. He is an anxious and fearful dog, but I’ve trained him to let me lift his lips, brush his teeth, touch his mouth. I would scrape his teeth with this on the standard to strong settings for maybe 5 seconds at a time, a break, then repeat. It took some time, but I got his canines cleaned and the tartar scraped off! It does not make any noticeable sound until it touches the tooth, where it gives a high pitched buzz as it scrapes. Kind of like a drill noise at the dentist. I accidentally poked his gums since my hands are shaky and they didn’t bleed. He seemed somewhat uncomfortable with it, but not in pain. I can’t wait to keep using this product a little each day until all his teeth are squeaky clean! I highly recommend this product so far. You will save a lot in dental cleaning costs. The design is easy and simple to use. It is comfortable to hold. The light is super helpful in showing all the buildup. The different heads helps me get in between teeth and near the gum lines. It is a poky tool so be careful. I do wish the tool was slightly shorter so I could have more stability with my shaky hands, but I was still able to use it easily.

It works
I didn’t expect this to work but I decided I would give it a shot and was totally surprised that it ended up working!!! My dog has some bad plaque buildup and brushing teeth, adding water additives, and giving oral care products hasn’t been super helpful. It took a couple of passes with the tool but the plaque cracked and fell off and a totally white tooth emerged. My dog was mostly okay with it but I have been brushing his teeth for a while so he is sort of used to me messing around with his mouth. We were able to only get one tooth done but he will probably let me do more tomorrow. I think the plaque breaking up and falling off was probably a bit weird for him. There were was only a tiny noise when it touched the tooth and absolutely no vibration. Glad it worked.

Surprisingly Effective & Saved Us a Big Vet Bill
I did not have high hopes for this item and I didn't have high hopes for my dog's cooperative either. Still, I had to give it a try if it meant I might avoids HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS of dollars in vet fees for a required an office visit, perhaps blood work prior to ANESTHESIA, the anesthesia itself and then the dental cleaning. Guess what?? My 30 pound Rat Terrier actually allowed me to get quite a bit of tarter removed, although we did it over 2 days to give him a rest in-between. I am so happy that I took the chance and very grateful for the money saved. I recommend giving it a shot if you think your dog would tolerate being wide awake. I say DO IT!!!

Impressive
This ultrasonic scaler does not vibrate much but it makes a high pitch sound when it hits enamel. It does an amazing job at removing built on calculus. The head of the tool does get a bit warm and is sharp, so be careful not to touch it to the gingival or mucosal tissues. Only downside for me is that it is quite heavy to hold. I prefer to have my fingers at the end so I can get a better fulcrum this left the base of the scaler as dead weight I'll let these embarrassing photos speak for themselves

Game changer
This tool is amazing, used it for a week every time would do 1-2 seconds give him a tiny treat to get him used to it. Now he lets me do it for about 8-10 seconds. Tool gets a bit hot but otherwise it’s great. Got all the tartar off (which wouldn’t come off with a regular scaler) and his gums are back to normal too.
