Giving 3 stars because honestly, after 3 months I still can't tell if they are doing anything and the price of these is kind of outrageous for what they are made from. Should be £5 each really, you can get water jug filters with 2-3 times more carbon in them for £5, so this is Philips premium prices all the way, just like with their bulbs. I'd still rather have a filter than none but I'll be trying other filters over time to see if I can find a cheaper alternative and if I do I'll update this review. Where Philips got me is the shower head, it fits pretty much every shower head holder in the UK, whereas a lot of other filters need to be fit additional to the shower head and take up extra space that I don't have. So I'm paying for convenience more than anything. Something thats important to note - Don't try to skimp out and use these for longer than a month. It's not a scam, activated carbon / charcoal filters like these ones collect and trap the toxins and bacteria grows inside them because they are constantly wet so after about a month or so the impurities and bacteria can start to leach out of them along with the water on to you. If it's too expensive (which it is imo) go with a filter thats cheaper to replace.

Does make a difference to hard water, you can literally feel it in the shower.

I bought this shower head less than 6 months ago and now it is impossible to find the replacement filters, even on Philips website it doesn't exist anymore. Why a company sells something that knows will not have pieces for replacement?

Estoy muy contenta con este filtro. En casa tenemos psoriasis y el agua del grifo es desalinizada, por lo que tiene cloro y al tener la piel seca y sensible nos pica mucho cuando nos duchabamos y con este filtro ya no pasa, solo por eso ya compensa comprarlo, el pelo bien pues todos lo tenemos muy largo y notamos que se peina más fácil.
