Just got this one from Amazon. It's just like the travel sets from Radio Shack and the Kasparov endorsed ones from the late 80's and 90's. Very cheap plastic compared to them though. Screw based battery cover could be a problem if used a lot. Also, it doesn't have a cover to keep the spare pieces in place even though there are two slots at the top edge for one. This is a problem because it initially is hard to open, it snaps twice to open fully, given you a chance to make your spare pieces airborne. Altogether, not bad for a travel set and worth it at the current price.

Very good learning tool for anyone learning to play chess. I bought for my grandson as he's just learning to play. It's good quality and you won't be disappointed. It's easy to learn. My grandson is 7 and he's loved this.

I got this for my cousin, and while the idea is great, the setup process was quite difficult and time-consuming. It took a while to figure things out. The build quality isn’t the best, but considering the price, it feels just okay. Good for casual use, but don’t expect high-end quality.

Got it for its portability and price. Not for adults. Very small pieces, and not made for adult hands. Hard to tell pieces apart during the game. Will not let you move pawn 2 spaces on initial move. It now sits on the shelf.

This is my son's easter gift. I already got it out and played with it. I think this will work well on outr road trip and camping adventures.

No instructions are given whatsoever. It comes with no batteries. A jewelers screwdriver is required to unlock the battery compartment.
