Chronos GX Digital Game Chess Clock - Button

A lot of people love Chronos chess clocks, and with good reason. The Chronos GX feels solid and robust with its metal case, but it is also compact with a low profile. The display is crisp, clear, and easy-to-read. The ‘active’ player is clearly indicated by the red LED on each player’s side. I have both the button and touch models and like them both. But there is something especially pleasing about the button model; the tactile feedback with each button press is particularly nice during speed chess.Programming and operation of the GX is less intuitive than on many other clocks, but it is not hard to learn if one can afford to take some time and experiment with it. There are helpful YouTube videos showing how it’s done. Once learned, programming becomes fairly quick and easy, There is considerable flexibility in setting game timings, with delay, increment (bonus time), and multiple periods all supported. There are 12 factory presets to use outright, or as a starting point for programming your own. Up to 12 user-defined presets can be saved.I have a number of chess clocks. Many are easier to use out-of-the-box… but this one is my favorite.
