It works!!
This hair color is an absolute godsend. Before I discovered this product, I had two options: gray hair or SEVERELY damaged hair. I have very fine, fragile hair, and both drugstore box dyes and salon color completely wreck it. Yes I've tried all kinds of of oil-based color, deep conditioning, Olaplex #3, etc. Nothing works, my hair would break off 3-5 inches from the ends and I would feel my scalp burning for two weeks afterwards. I had pretty much given up until I found this product. I've now used it three times and I love it. Very good coverage and ZERO scalp burning or hair splitting. My hair feels actually healthier afterwards and I get less frizz. One thing to keep in mind. They have changed color names to "light", "brown" and "dark" whereas before they were called "light brown", "medium brown" and "dark brown". I think the new names set the wrong expectations. "Light" implies some shade of blond, and that's not what you are going to get with this color. Personally I think "medium brown", "dark brown" and "black" would be most accurate - but I could also see how perhaps someone with thicker hair would get lighter results. If you do have fine hair like me, I would recommend using a lighter shade - the first time I got this, I got the "dark" and it made my hair jet black, which looks aging unless you are super young with flawless skin. Another thing to keep in mind. If you want to do this at a salon - personally I'd rather eat sand than do my own hair - you will have a hard time finding a provider! Apparently most regular salons have contracts with cosmetic manufacturers and aren't allowed to use outside product. You will need to find an independent stylist that rents a chair - they do exist, you'll just need to call around. Heads up, if they are hesitant using an unfamiliar product, you can tell them that it has ZERO fumes or smell so it won't affect other clients or their respiratory health. I never write reviews this long but I love this product so much that I want to evangelize it. It's not like there are ANY other options for natural color that actually covers gray!! I am including photos so others can see how it turned out. The first photo is taken with my phone indoors, as you can see you don't see any grey. The second photo is taken with my husband's phone under direct sunlight (bright winter sun) and you do see a few greys but that's more to do with lighting and camera, I promise it's nowhere near that visible in normal light. For reference, I was 30-35% grey before.

A Game-Changer for Sensitive Scalps and Natural Color Restoration
I've been using Hairprint True Color Restorer Dark for years, and it has been a game-changer for me. I have fine, low-porosity hair with a lot of grays in the front and more pepper than salt throughout. This product restores my natural color beautifully without causing any irritation—something I truly appreciate since I have a ton of allergies. The application process was a bit complicated at first, but once I got the hang of it, it became much easier. For me, the results are more like a demi-permanent color, which I actually prefer. It blends seamlessly as it grows out, avoiding the harsh root line that comes with traditional dyes. Overall, Hairprint delivers exactly what I need—natural-looking coverage without the risks of conventional hair dye. I'm a customer for life!

It worked for me
I got the restorer plus in brown. I did it myself. It worked, its been 2 months and it still covers my greys. It is permanent. It took about 3-4 hours. I do have new growth but it doesnt have a harsh line. I think its worth it because there is no smell, no burning, and it worked. I did use clarifying shampoo several times during the week before. Also, the night before I used clarifying shampoo and no oils or conditioner. I put it on dry hair the next day. My hair was very dried out, so after the whole process I did a hair mask. It looks natural now, looks better than regular dye. At first it was very dark but it slowly lightened to dark brown. The only thing I found deceptive was the fact that is does contain hydrogen peroxide. I thought it had nothing reactive in it but I noticed it felt a little familiar. If you look closely on the box ingredients, hydrogen peroxide is listed in the toner. I was shocked since they dont have this anywhere on the page, only listed a few natural ingredients and nothing about hydrogen peroxide which does have a reaction for some people. I felt my hair was not weakened as much as regular dye but I did feel like I needed a lot of hair masks to get it back to normal condition. Not as natural and safe as I was tricked into believing. Had I known it had peroxide in it, I might not have gotten it since peroxide weakens hair. I prefer it over regular dye since that causes me a lot of scalp irritation. It is like a dye without so many harmful chemicals but it still has a bleaching chemical in it, so its not as natural as they said. I wanted to warn people that it does contain peroxide since I had no idea.

A complete waste of time and money
Wish I could give this product zero stars! Setting aside the pre-treatment protocol over the course of a week, the application itself took hours - and though my hair is fine, not wiry, chemically untreated and only minimally grey (less than 10%, but in visible places), this didn't ungrey the greys. It also changed my hair color from a warm light brown to a very ugly, muddy shade of dark brown. The troubleshooting FAQ says the color may normalize somewhat over the next week or so...fingers crossed.

Works but takes many hours and stains everything in the bathroom permanently
I’ve been using it for a few years on and off. I keep swearing off it, because it takes 4 hours for my chin length, thin hair, and always ends up permanently staining a bunch of things in the bathroom, no matter how careful I am. It’s just awful to use. The hair is way too dark for the first 2 weeks too. That said, I always end up coming back to it because it ends up matching my hair color perfectly after the first couple of weeks and there is no other nontoxic option on the market. So there we are. Please get these into salons, it’s just a horror shot at home.
