Lovely Product
I have bare wood floors in my cottage. I did a lot of research into what product to use for the effect I wanted: wax matt, durable, natural looking. This product caught my eye. It's incredibly easy to use. It looks great, just what I wanted. It took a day to dry and I did a second coat the next day as recommended.However.I went onto my second room, much bigger than the first. I didn't have enough left of this product to start, so went to a local merchant and they didn't stock Osmo, but Ronseal. Their hard matt wax for floors, natural, was a third of the price, so I bought it. I actually think I prefer the finish of the Ronseal now. It dried in about 45 mins, so was able to do 3 coats in one day, really important to me as I had a bed arriving the following day! So, yes, love the Osmo, would recommend, BUT prefer the Ronseal at a much cheaper price.

This was used with a first coat of the "raw" oil to keep the oak's natural colour
I followed the Osmo recommendations for solid oak doors which was to give a thin coat of their OSMO 3044 750ml Polyx Oil Natural Transparent - Raw followed by a top coat of this Osmo 3062 Polyx Hard Wax Oil Clear Matt . I tested a spare piece of oak first with the two products and also an area with just the Osmo 3062 Polyx Hard Wax Oil Clear Matt. With just the 3062 the wood darkened a little but using the raw oil first left the oak as light as if untreated, but definitely a "smoother finish than if untreated. Hard to describe really, but first class. The first coat of raw oil must be applied really thinly, just as thin as you can make it and still wet the surface. It is a milky coloured liquid and I kept on brushing it until any milkiness disappeared. If you leave any areas looking milky it will dry white! After 24 hours I applied the top coat. With the 0.75 litre tin I was able to do both sides of 6 doors and still have some left over. I bought the 2.5 Litre tin of the 3062 top coat and so have loads left - we have an oak staircase that hasn't been treated so that is next!I thought the osmo brushes looked expensive and tried with an old B&Q brush which worked perfectly. I think it was bristle rather than synthetic, but suggest you try out a brush before committing yourself. I didn't loose a single bristle. Brush was cleaned in white spirits and then soapy water each time. I don't know how durable this will be so couldn't give 5 stars, but I think it will be good.

Excellent quality and finish
Very happy with the finish of this product. It is expensive, but I used half of the time to cover the floor with two coats, leaving plenty to fix any scratches/marks in the future. Really easy to apply.

Easy to apply. Great looking finish. Durable.
Soft wood floor. 60 year old floorboards that had been under carpet. Boards sanded lightly to reduce staining and paint spots. Then applied using brush. Went on easy, required robust brushing to spread thin and even. Really lovely finish that has so far lasted really well.

Gorgeous floors
We had all our bedroom floors sanded, & this stuff brings out the character of the wood beautifully. Expensive, but worth it.

Expensive but lasts long “Less is More”, delivery was £5 as or Prime delivery👍👍👍
Expensive but worth it & when it say apply thinly do so because it applies more than u think - Used decent 2” paintbrush to apply 6 Oak Veneer internal doors (needed 2nd application) & still have 1/4 tin remaining, so good value as other branded clear varnishes would not have lasted that long, also no finger prints or dirty marks so far (doors oiled in February 2021).👍

Excellent for relatively carefree use of wood worktop
This stuff is excellent, it makes our oak kitchen worktop look gorgeous and, perhaps more importantly, protects it really well from spills and splashes. We've got to the point where we don't really worry too much about leaving drops of liquid to just dry off, it just evaporates, then the marks wipe away during regular cleaning.Easy to apply, just make sure it is applied thinly, otherwise you'll start to get small mounds of wax. Also keep it off other surfaces, the wax is quite difficult to get off!
