This review is for the Prestige 14 EVO and is different from other reviews in that it focuses on Linux. I did start up the computer under Windows 11 Pro to make sure everything was working, but very quickly then began an install of Endeavour Linux (an Arch derivative). Installation went smoothly and took under 15 minutes, and the computer booted in Linux at once. Everything except the fingerprint reader worked straight out of the box and worked perfectly. Some online research led to getting the fingerprint reader working, eliminating the loud fan noise other complain of when using Windows, reducing the hot running to a more or less normal level wherein it feels just a bit warm to the touch under heavy load. While I can't speak to battery life under Windows, it is quite good under Linux and depending on workload approaches 10 hours (less under heavy load with lots of graphics use but still good). In short, this computer seems to do better with Linux than it does with Windows. Pros: 1. Sharp and vibrant display. 2. Fast SSD (I have the 1TB model). 3. Fast (enough) processors for nearly all work including large compiles and the like. 4. A truly excellent keyboard; key travel is shallow but the spacing isn't the least cramped. 5. Very good battery life. 6. Lots of memory (32GB on this one). 7. Super value for the money. 8. If you're really into tinkering, the advanced BIOS menu allows you to go to town if you know what you're doing. Cons: 1. Not the most rugged construction. 2. A little heavier than you might expect (but still quite portable). 3. Display is only 1920x1080, which would limit some creative work applications. 4. Charging block is enormous and on the heavy side. Overall this is a real deal for the price and certainly rates five stars.

As the title says, this is an excellent laptop, but there are a few cons. My last few laptops have been 13"-14" for portability, schoolwork, etc. I am no longer in school, and I regularly do a lot of productivity work such as excel on my laptop. I wanted a laptop that was a bit more powerful with a much bigger display. I will list the major pros and cons here, with a more detailed review below: PROS: Display Battery Life Keyboard Performance I/O Ports Design/Thin/Weight Build Quality 16" screen, but still portable CONS: 60hz Refresh Rate Trackpad I bought this laptop a few months ago and I’m very happy with it. This laptop runs Windows 11 smoothly and handles all the tasks I need it to do, including browsing the web, editing photos and videos, and productivity work such as large excel files. It has a sleek design, a bright and colorful display. I only have one negative thing to say about the display and that is the 60hz refresh rate. I assumed the display refresh rate was 120hz, as every single one of the other 15 laptops on my list were at least 120hz or higher. That was very disappointing. The refresh rate was not listed anywhere unlike most other laptops.... now I know why. Very irritating, but far from a deal breaker because the rest of the laptop is so nice. The keyboard is comfortable with soft keys and a good typing experience. The keyboard also includes a number pad to the right. There is no flex AT ALL on the keyboard, as it is extremely sturdy and well built. The trackpad is extra-large and responsive, but it is off center to the left, which I hate. There is not enough room for my left hand to the left of the trackpad while typing, but I have large hands so this will not be an issue for everyone. The battery life is also impressive, but it certainly is not ground-breaking. The battery life of this laptop should not be compared to a 13"-14" laptop. However, the battery life will be much better from previous models due to the new intel core ultra processors. The speakers are loud and clear, and the webcam is decent for video calls. One of the biggest selling points is that this laptop has plenty of ports, including 1x USB-A, 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, 1x HDMI, 1x full size SD card reader, and a headphone jack. The laptop can get a bit warm and noisy under heavy load, but it’s not a deal-breaker for me. Like I said before, it is still a significant improvement from the previous generation of intel processors. For being a 16" powerful laptop, it is EXTREMELY thin, lightweight, and portable. It feels extremely sturdy as well. Overall, this is a great laptop for anyone looking for a portable and powerful device that won’t break the bank. I highly recommend it.

I love this little laptop! I travel frequently, and lugging around a big laptop can get quite taxing. This one is barely 3 pounds, and fits in almost any medium to large bag. I have a full size MSI laptop - Stealth 16 - which I have been very happy with, so this choice was easy. This little thing packs a punch and is more powerful than its big sister. Good bang for the buck for all the usual functions: personal computing, photo and video processing, and light gaming. It streamed a movie well on a flight using the onboard Wifi with great graphics. I love the that it easily converts to a tablet, and even though it was not in the item description, the pen IS included! Note about the pen - attaching it to the side does NOT charge it, it has to be plugged in. Under normal use, the fully charged battery lasts for hours - I've not yet run it down - and it charges up very quickly. The included power adapter is also lightweight and compact though I chose to swap it out for one that has additional outlets to charge my other devices.

The build quality is quite good with quality components puzzling why manufacture the refresh at 60hz you will need a secondary monitor if you are doing anything other than standard computing. Disappointing for a 2k+ computer with taxes.
