Huge dc/remote unit connection
This was a ”retro fit“ installation, not an installation into new construction. Negative: the ceiling fan canopies included for both fans I purchased were not large enough to house the dc/remote boxes in which you’re supposed to place/hide the boxes. I mean severely lacking. The fan bracket takes the majority of the space. The box is also too large to jam into the electrical junction box. If not for the wires in the junction box, or for the bracket and drop rod in the canopy, the box would fit. Even had a family member’s who is an electrician try, and the dc/remote unit is simply TOO LARGE. Due to the placement locations for both fans, there was insufficient room to add a new junction box. But even if there was a HUGE enough junction box, there’s no way I would be ripping down ceiling pieces (inaccessible/shallow areas of modular house crawl space). Now, that gets a nasty zero rating, big ole goose egg.. Good thing I have a 3d printer. I had to print a canopy that was an incredible 240mm wide (four times the original width) in order to keep with the original 60mm height. So two fan projects saved. Now for the pros…. Positives: Simple to connect. The drop rod was long enough for my vaulted/angled ceilings in both spaces. Neither fan required balancing. The fan moves a massive amount of air. Six speeds are better than three. The only sound to hear is the quiet wind sound coming off the blades a NOT the helicopter blade sound, but the wind. If not for that dang dc/remote unit size, the product would be perfect in every way. It otherwise would have gotten five stars. I only dropped one star because of the perfection of everything else. So be cautious - if your junction box cannot accommodate the dc/remote unit, you might not be able to make that unit fit anywhere. YRMV.

Speed noise
The fan looks nice, has six speeds but even on the lowest speed is very high, even the speed that says sleep is high. Tried to run at 1 on counter clockwise, tiny bit slower but makes a ticking noise. Not sure if this fan is just defective or all this way. Too late to return, would not buy again.
