Excellent customer service
I ordered this scanner and had problems with it charging and all the lights coming on. I contacted the company and reported the issue. Richard, from the support team, was extremely helpful and provided a replacement, which has been working great. I highly recommend the scanner, based on performance, features, and mostly a superb customer service. Kudos to Richard for outstanding service.

EXCELLENT scanner and customer support
This is very easy to code for or integrate with an existing setup. I'm super-pleased with this. It ships in Bluetooth keyboard/HID mode, but you can swap to something like Bluetooth SPP mode so it does not interrupt other input activities on the host device. The manual includes very extensive settings codes and is relatively easy to understand. I ordered two different barcode scanners, and this one is the clear winner, by a long shot. The beep volume is adjustable (all the way down to zero, thank you!), it permits haptic feedback/vibration, it can be set in continuous mode, the grip is ergonomic, the scanning is significantly and consistently superior to the other one I tried (particularly on warped barcodes like with produce), and it even supports some pre-processing for however your system works (e.g. converting all letters to lower-case, or prepending or appending arbitrary/programmed text or a timestamp [a time sync tool [Windows] is freely available from customer support, who responded to me within a few hours on querying them by email; I should note their "a la carte" extra applications and documentation from customer support are in Chinese, but this is easy to work around in 2024). Additionally featured is camera inversion and continuous scanning mode, as well as the standard storage mode (holding codes to upload in a batch), among other settings. There are some missing features I'd like (which I am fully excusing due to the low price point of this scanner, but in case you need them): "memory" buttons to record certain config options and apply them with a single butotn-press, plug-in base so a physical cable doesn't need to be attached to the scanner (though not powering the base has benefits) and ability to send configurations or other data to the scanner over serial/SPP rather than scanning a config instruction. The latter closes out a good few programming routes; for example, it would be nice if the scanner could receive an ACK signal from my host device and otherwise either prevent or store subsequent scans until it gets the ACK signal, to prevent data loss or handle other advanced operations. Going back to how the device is powered for a moment, I should point out that because the hand scanner is powered by USB-C rather than taking power at the base, you could do something like stick one of those little USB batteries for phones to the hand scanner and use it that way if the scanner itself should run out of battery power; it's able to scan while charging. Odd aside, but I was amused how well the scanner works as a flashlight while I was going back and forth between pantry and workstation overnight. Overall, I'm very impressed with this tool and how easy it's been to program applications around it. Of course, if you are already using your own or someone else's software for this device, it should be a drop-in replacement for most due to its high number of connection modes.

Quality product.
I purchased this scanner as part of a project for my development team, where we focus on setting up QR codes and barcodes to enhance scanning capabilities within a manufacturing and production environment. Specifically, our role is to help manage inventory control and track parts when they are ordered. This scanner is a crucial tool we use to test and verify our labels before they’re presented to the operators on the production line. It’s been an essential part of our workflow, and I wanted to share my experience with it. One of the standout features of this scanner is its versatility. It offers multiple scanning functions, each tailored to different use cases, making it adaptable to various tasks within a production setting. Personally, I find the line scanning functionality to be the most useful. This feature allows me to scan a label and immediately see how it’s coded in real-time on my computer screen. It’s a huge time-saver, as it enables us to troubleshoot and confirm label accuracy on the spot, before we even present them to the operators. This efficiency has been a game-changer in terms of reducing errors and ensuring smooth operations. In addition to its scanning capabilities, the range and battery life of this device have been excellent. It maintains a strong connection even from a distance, which is vital in a busy production environment where you might need to scan from different angles or across a room. The battery life is impressive, lasting throughout an entire shift without needing a recharge, which is critical for maintaining productivity and minimizing downtime. While I know this product is geared towards a specific audience—such as teams involved in inventory management, logistics, or manufacturing—I've found it to be an invaluable tool for our operations. If you're working in a similar capacity or need a reliable scanner for quality control, testing, or real-time data tracking, I highly recommend this product. It’s a practical, well-built tool that can streamline your operations and improve accuracy in a fast-paced work environment.

Scanning
It started off really good… I purchased this out of all of them because it durable but unfortunately after using it awhile it won’t stay linked up at first it was just the Bluetooth that kept disconnecting now it’s not working with the cord as well

Good quality, slight learning curve
My wife saw an idea somewhere of using a scanner to track things you have like in your tool cabinet, panty, etc., and loved the idea, so she got this. It was really easy to set up. The manual was a little intimidating since this is the first time we've ever tried using/setting up a scanner. A lot of options don't apply to us, but that means it has a lot of additional features we get to learn to use. In the manual there are options for storage mode vs real time mode. There are several volume options. You can even add a time stamp to your scans. Also, you can scan directly into a spreadsheet. From what she's read, if you had an inventory program it would work too. FYI the wireless version has a USB-A little nugget that is plugged into your computer. So if you only have USB-C you'll need an adapter. That's the case for us and it works just fine. Don't be intimidated by the setup. Just open up a spreadsheet and you'll get the hang of it. Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

Great scanner and almost perfect
The Tera Barcode Scanner Wireless 2D QR with Stand does everything it says it can. I haven't found a barcode or qr code that It hasn't scanned. The battery last a long time as well which is nice. I have yet had to recharge it even after using it fairly heavily over the last several weeks. The auto shutoff helps keep the battery from draining. The only thing I can complain about with this scanner is I wish the scanner had a built in space to store the USB dongle. Keeping it lose makes me concerned about losing it.

Durable and Versatile Barcode Scanner with Smart Features
The Tera 8100 Pro barcode scanner has brought efficiency and reliability to my business operations. Its intuitive design, paired with robust functionality, makes it a standout choice for anyone needing a dependable scanning solution. One of the best features is the battery level indicator and the substantial 2500mAh battery. Being able to easily monitor the battery status through the indicator light allows me to plan charging in advance and avoid unexpected shutdowns, eliminating any downtime anxiety. Durability is another strong point of this scanner. The extreme drop resistance and dustproof design mean it can withstand tough environments, offering peace of mind during day-to-day use. Its ability to accurately read even deformed or damaged barcodes makes it particularly useful, as it tackles smudged, fuzzy, or reflective labels with ease. The flexibility to set up specific symbologies is incredibly useful for tailored operations. For example, being able to modify how Code 39 barcodes are processed without affecting other types simplifies workflow, accommodating the demands of different tasks seamlessly. With 3-in-1 connectivity options, including Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and USB wired connections, this scanner adapts to various setups easily. Its exceptional range ensures effective performance whether connected to smartphones, tablets, computers, or POS systems across Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and Linux platforms. Additionally, the dual alert modes—vibration and sound—add flexibility, especially in noise-sensitive environments. Switching to vibration mode when needed keeps operations quiet without sacrificing efficiency and ensures clear feedback from successful scans. Overall, the Tera 8100 Pro scanner provides outstanding performance, robustness, and adaptability, making it an invaluable tool for any business setting. Its thoughtful features and reliable construction make it a strong contender in the scanning market.

Scanner
It was a little complicated at first to figure out how to use it. But it has worked great at scanning and organizing all my books. Great quality for the price.
