wow this tool is great! It is really easy to use it sharpens the bits fast and really sharp too. This is my second one BTW, It is not the best in durability as the first one lasted about 1 year and then the chuck cam was wore out, Probably due to my Ogre strength I was a bit harder on it than I am on this one because of the plastic used to make it. Not sure how long I will get but I am sure longer than 1 year. I do not recommend a heaver ogre hand like mine (come to find out) all you need is a genital hand and soft touch. Just a few turns as well not like I was doing. I found out that 4 turns and my bit was sharp as the day it was new. I wish I had money to get the top of there line one but this one is really good. I was able to do all these bits in about 1 hour and they are very sharp! OH BTW that was a one handed hole I drilled in that piece of scrap while taking the video. And it went through that like a hot knife through butter!

This is a real decent unit for the hobbyist or back yard mechanic, which is what I am. It allows you to keep using those drillsets in which several have become dull, and buying individual replacements gets pricey. Although mostly plastic, the heart of the unit is a motor, grinding wheel and cam drill chuck, which allows grinding proper side and rake angles. These components seem of adequate quality. Getting drill depth set in chuck takes a little practice as does getting the feel for applying correct pressure when rotating in cam. The need to keep rotating multiple times is a bit tedious. I compared it to the Vevor unit and chose this smaller simpler unit because it was about 1/3rd the cost. If one were a machine shop they might very well want the higher quality Vevor, but for me this was quite adequate

I only used it a few times, but it actually made a few worthless drill bits work again. I should have bought this years ago. Not difficult to use, but follow the instructions exactly.

I’ve sharpened over 20 bits now with this. My biggest complaint is that the process to set the bit correctly in the holder is not always easy to get it just right. It’s a hit or miss process. It doesn’t work easily for really dulled bits. I’ve watched videos to explain the calibration process it but it still takes practice. The manual and the diagrams in it need to be larger and have better descriptions.

The sharpener does an amazing job. Used it to sharpen 1/8 thru 3/8 personally and the sharpened bits cut like new. I was drilling 'semi' hard steel and the bits dulled fairly quickly or the cutting edge chipped. The sharpener took care of both situations. immediately after sharpening the bits cut very well. Even after chipping the sharpened edge looked and worked like new.

Excelente equipo, la verdad no tenia muchas espectativas pero me ha sorprendido lo sencillo que se vuelve afilar brocas. Fue un regalo de cumpleaños para mi padre y le gusto bastante, hizo la prueba enseguida. En casa las brocas se han afilado siempre a pulso con esmeril de banco y mucha paciencia, pero es tedioso para mi padre a sus casi 80 años, solo afilaba la que requeria en ese momento. Pero con el drill doctor en un par de dias revivio mas de 30 brocas que tenia guardadas y daba por muertas en batalla. Las instrucciones son algo confusas, pero es mas simple de lo que parece, colocas la broca en el broquero, ajustas lo suficiente para que quede fija pero pueda girarse dentro del broquero, luego giras un poco la broca en el sentido de perforacion que es en el sentido del reloj, esto para alinearla con las guias metalicas del broquero, despues coloca el broquero en el drill doctor alineando el triangulo con la parte superior y presiona solo un poco para que la broca retroceda y va a quedar en posicion para afilado, finalmente ajusta el broquero para que no se deslice la broca y sin apenas ejercer presion realiza un par de pasadas de I a II en sentido del reloj y comprueba, repite un par de veces y quedara lista. Si el angulo de la broca es muy cerrado o si esta rota, mejor pasarla primero en el esmeril de banco o en la mini amoladora para abrir el angulo lo mas cerca a 180 grados y tarde menos en afilarla, de lo contrario tardara mucho en desbastar hasta llegar al angulo deseado.

Well, I have to say I wasn't expecting this high quality of product and results. After watching a couple of YouTube videos from owners of the 350X I tried it out and, in the space of about 20 minutes I sharpened a dozen drill bits of various dullness. After each I could see the gleaming new metal on the drill bit and could feel the sharpness of the cutting edges. Excellent results, and easy too, after learning how to align the bit. Works great! If you are debating about buying a drill bit sharpener, just DO IT.

It doesn't work on standard UK 240v power outlets. I'm sure the product runs fantastic in theory BUT if you're in the UK and planning on using it from your mains socket, it won't work. Plug it in and look forward to the fireworks.
