Excellent emergency lighter and flashlight

I like it. Affordable, works as advertised, sturdy. I like the security of the locking case.

I've really enjoyed the new breed of rechargeable plasma arc lighters. Very practical and pollution free. We keep one in the kitchen drawer and one upstairs by my wife's candle space. The one problem is they are home use only. Forget about pocketing one for EDC (Every Day Carry). This little guy solves that problem. It's a hybrid between the modern and the old style lighter. One of those little ideas that is obvious after someone else thinks of it. This also happens to be an excellent implementation of that idea. Water proof, sturdy, lockable and compact yet extensible. The flashlight is a nice little plus. Another gadget that will incrementally improve your life. Plus I just love USB-C rechargeables since I have the chargers all over the house, my car and even my outdoors vest. Beats heck out of lighter fluid! The one issue I have is that the built in flashlight button is too easy to press. If it gets turned on in your pocket, it will drain the battery. The manufacturer should either recess the button or make it press and hold rather than click on/click off.

Gave this to my grandson for Christmas. He LIVES it.
