How do you package these in the warm months to keep them from melting?

I assume you are referring to the seller's mode of packaging. The bags of candy are packed into a fancy, thick , tin foil bag. Inside the bag with the candy is one of those freezer-packs that lasts a long time. That freezer-pack is between pieces of cardboard to soak up the inevitable moisture that such a device produces. The bags of candy are in another plastic bag. On the outside of the shipping box there are labels telling the shipper (in my case Fed Ex) to protect from heat. I just received an order that had to travel through some hot areas of the country, and the candy had not melted. I am sorry I can't send you a picture of all these layers, but my garbage collection day has passed and all the debris is gone.

Are these packed in ice for shipping during the hot months?

Ice would make too much of a mess. The candy comes packed with those freezer-packs that contain some sort of artificial liquid that holds the cold for a longer time, the kind that people use in picnic baskets to keep drinks cold.
