Silverlake Art Show (13) (The Adventures of Sophie Mouse) Paperback – Illustrated, June 12, 2018

We’ve been reading this since book one. It’s been fun for me and my kids.

My daughter has loved listening to the books in the Sophie Mouse series. Book 1 was her first chapter book and this was her second. She loves the characters and the sweet adventures they have. She loves being able to “flip” through the book and look at all the illustrations. When I asked my daughter what her favorite part was she said, “when Sophie was happy and not when she was sad.” (She’s two). The books have just enough “sadness “ or conflict to create a little suspense and help young readers begin to enjoying a story arch.

One of my daughter's favorite series...and mine. The writing and illustrations are beautifully done and engaging for a young reader. The chapters are short and a reader's attention. The animal characters are sweet and kind and sometimes have a little lesson to teach as well, which I always appreciate. The simple stories and pictures make this a favorite series in our home. We eagerly await each new book to come out!

I’ve done reviews on other books from this series. They’re so good. Pure and clean. Good lessons. Love these. My daughter has been reading them since she was seven. Now 8.5.

Very cute series of books fOr my 6yr old Granddaughter. She loves getting a new book in the mail!
