Decent beginner board for cheap!
Come on people, this is the lowest cost board you can buy that still works! My kids surf with this board and it has lasted pretty good so far. Just dont be stupid and leave in hot car or stand on top of in sand. The board top scratches and punctures easily, so just beware of this and trim nails. The board should last you a season, or just long enough for your kid to want something better when skills improve.

Great for beginners!
Great fun for the beach. I would suggest some board wax as the deck will get slippery with some use. It says 200 lbs. max but I wouldn’t go more than 100 lbs. I can surf and have for 30 years and this is a great starter board for a child or young adult. Soft deck is great for the eventual whack in the head you get learning to surf. Don’t expect it to last years but should survive a season or two.

Great beginner budget board
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is a great first board for kids. The price is great, and the board has quite a curve to it which means that the nose won’t dig in as they try to catch waves. If you leave it out in the sun with the top side up it will start to bubble though which isn’t great. Recommend getting this board to see if your child likes surfing before spending ~$300 on a wave bandit.

Fun for beginners
Have been to the Assateague beach every Saturday in the past a few weeks. Although still can’t stand on successfully, with the new surfboard we had much more fun this year than ever. Actually, losing the balance and falling into water is also more joyful to me. I know this is not the best available online, but already good enough for fresh regarding the price. Especially, after gaining some experiences, I am considering to find a local surfing school and take a two-day session to learn surfing seriously.

Great boards!
After reading all of the reviews I was hesitant to purchase. I love these! We have been at the beach all week and the boards look brand new- no flaking, peeling, etc and they have been in the sun on the beach all week!!

Cute, bright, giant boogie board
Arrived with damage to the box & poorly taped, but the board was still ok. Beautiful vibrant blue & dark pink (not red). The fins are easy to put in. The little screw things can easily Be not screwed in & kind of next to where it should be, so Just make sure that you feel the resistance when screwing them in. The included leash will probably work since the board is so light, but it is basically black ribbon with a scratchy Velcro strap attached, so if you care about that, plan on getting a real leash. Due to the reviews, I did warn my daughter that it may work great in the ocean, or it may only work as a floating device for the pool; it may be great or it may be more like a temporary toy. It does not have the support inside the foam to prevent breaking & to hold its shape as it is basically a surfboard shaped boogie board. She still loves it no matter how it turns out. It's inexpensive enough that if it's disposable, we'll find some use for it. I'll update my post after we see how it goes trying it in the water for surfing.UPDATE:She had a hard time surfing on this. It doesn't float nearly as well as the standard foam boards. She's little (12 years and around 75 pounds). I imagine it wouldn't work well for an adult to surf on, but floating around may be fun. My younger kids (2 & 4 years old) love it for sitting & standing on in the pool and on the sand. Overall, it's still great for how inexpensive it is. But if you truly want to learn to surf, I'd go with something with a bit more to offer. Side note, if you take the fins off & attach a rope in the middle fun hole, it's fun to run and pull it along the wet sand while the kids sit on the board. :)

Nope. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
I’ll start by saying that I had very low expectations for this board and was not looking for much from it. I simply wanted something to get my son through his first couple months of surfing before buying a much nicer one.My issues with this product have nothing to do with his ability to surf on it as a beginner. And I’m not comparing this to the ease of a longboard which would be unfair.Quality is awful. If I could have given this no stars, I would have. His first time out, on relatively small and calm waves, one of the fin screws disappeared and he had a wobbly fin until we could replace it. Not super helpful for a beginner. On the first day, we had the board sitting on the sand while we set up our space and, in the maybe 15 mins it was sitting face up, the paint became soft and started transferring onto towels, clothes, legs, etc. And, for as easily as this transferred from the board, it does NOT come off skin or textiles easily. The leash that it comes with seems meant for a body board rather than a surfboard. We had to replace that before he could go out.Can you catch a few waves on it? Yes. It’s very light which is great for carrying it down to the beach but probably made his learning a little more frustrating than it needed to be. I regret this purchase especially since it was half over the price of other much higher quality boards that would last years with proper care. Don’t bother with this one. I would recommend getting anything else.

Fun surf board
For the price this has been so much fun. I bought it because I did not want to spend $400 for a yoga board for the pool. Just wanted something to give me some more exercise. The kids have loved it in the pool. This would do great at the beach as well. Excellent product.
