I used my past recorder as a quick memory. 1 button speak, auto save. This unit requires it be turned on first, boot up and then press record. Then save. If the "on" switch is left on it soon runs out of battery. The instructions are poor. Could not figure out how to play back recordings. Worthless as a simple recorder. In the trash.
