This perfume smells great, not too long lasting on my skin but I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. It’s one of those scents you’re like “I know that scent!!! What is it? What is it???!!!” Because it is so familiar and comfortable. It layers well with musks and the other dossier scent called “ambery saffron” which I also recommend as a must have. I love the magnetic lid and bottle size. The versatility of these together really elevates your scent library.

I bought a few perfumes and got about five people to smell all of them. Everyone's favorite was this. It's just a solid vanilla smell. My mom sprayed it on her hand, and later she was like wow whatevers on my hand smells really good. It doesn't last the longest, and it's not too strong. So I'd say three sprays are good. Then reapply later. It's just a really, really nice smell that people stop and say you smell good. Also, the bottle is very nice. The magnetic cap is cool, and it's just a good bottle. It's cheap for how good it smells. Someone said it smelt like a warm, nostalgic smell.

I have been wanting to to try this for sometime now and got it ata holiday price. I have only ever purchased Black Opium, loving the smell! My husband can’t tolerate strong artificial odors and perfumes that are not genuine. With that being said, I feel this is the best smelling artificial perfume I have ever tried. Star off for not knowing how long it lasts but it lasted at least thru the Eagles game!! The Con: when I wear the real Opium, sometimes my husband doesn’t notice the smell because the fragrance is subdued where with wearing this. He smells it right away because it is overpowering in like an artificial way. I LOVE it and thats all that matters!! Price point is great as well as the amount of what you get. I can’t afford the best in retirement but runner up is looking mighty fine!!!!!

3.5 stars for me. This is not a great dupe for black opium. However, it’s not terrible either. It smells like black opium with a ton of white florals added. The notes just don’t line up to the ones listed. It’s not far off after the dry down and is mildly similar, however there are a few dupe houses that make better for similar/cheaper than prices in my opinion. I do own the OG YSL and am able to compare side by side. For others who aren’t looking for identical clones but like the scent profile, this one may work for you. Longevity isn’t great. I like beast mode fragrances. But this isnt one that evaporates off your skin right away either. You can get a couple hours at most out of this. Fades into a nice soft floral musky dry down. Bottle is cute and simple. The size for the price is average. But I’m not mad at it. Nice powerful sprayer. I just want to give the best review I possibly can for anyone blind buying this. She is YSLs cousin not twin, or even sister for that matter, I call her white opium because it’s a lighter musky floral take on the original. And the longevity is too many hours off for them to be sisters. But she IS decent otherwise. Actually I just realized something before posting this… I couldn’t figure out why this was so familiar I thought it was because it was similar to the black opium… but this smells almost IDENTICAL to another fragrance I have called First Instinct by A&F. Now that’s a good dupe for that. Problem is, the A&F one lasts 4times the amount as this and you get twice the amount for a few dollars more.

Really happy with this Black Opium dupe. I have a few different clones of Black Opium, and frankly, all are pretty spot on (evidently this isn't an overly difficult fragrance to clone). But for the price, this one is great. Decent longevity and sillage. This is considered a female fragrance, but I'm a male and wear it--I think it's deep and mysterious and is unisex. Overall, a nice gourmand that's fantastic as a cold-weather scent.
