Q1: Need to turn on the spindle speed?
A1: Definitely no, or it'll cause data tolerance.

Q2: Why is the concentricity different when the probe is installed?
A2: Because the low-accuracy spring collet can't guarantee 100% positive position. After each installation of the probe, even if the concentricity is adjusted to 10 μm, there will still be deviations when the probe is re-installed. So it is best to use a AAA or higher accuracy ER spring collect (run-out tolerance <0.0002") for your chuck. It is recommended that use a high-precision gauge to check the concentricity after installing the chuck.
