I picked up this starburst filter mainly to experiment with night lights and city shots, and it definitely delivers the effect I was looking for. The starbursts are clean and noticeable around point light sources like streetlights, headlights, and holiday lights. It adds a nice creative touch without needing heavy editing afterward. For someone getting into more creative photography, it’s a fun tool to have in the kit. Build quality feels solid for the price. The metal frame is sturdy, and it threads onto my lens smoothly without any issues. It doesn’t feel cheap or loose, which I was a bit worried about before using it. Image quality does change slightly—as expected—with a bit of softness and some flare in high-contrast scenes, but that’s kind of the point of a special effect filter. It’s not something I’d keep on all the time, but when used intentionally, it really stands out. The only downside is that you do need to be careful with composition. Too many light sources or the wrong angle can make the image look messy instead of artistic. Overall, I’d recommend it to photographers who want to experiment with creative effects at night or during events. It’s not essential, but it’s a fun and affordable way to make your shots look different.

Filtro que cumple bien con su propósito. El efecto de estrellas cruzadas es notorio y se puede controlar girando el anillo, lo que da flexibilidad según la fuente de luz. La construcción se siente sólida y el montaje en el lente es seguro. Para fotografía nocturna, urbana o cualquier escena con puntos de luz, genera resultados interesantes sin postproducción adicional. Buena compra.

So beautiful! I bought this for photographing a concert and it produced such beautiful images.

Just so you know if you want sharpness with this filter don't buy it but if you want a effect and a feeling in a photo in a concert for example this one for you because you want to look for lights that creates stars so you can create new interesting photos.

Keep in mind Lense Caps for lense this is attached to are toooooo small. Unprotected.

Un filtro che fa il suo lavoro… ovviamente la foto esce bene in base alla quantità di luce che c’è e dallo scenario che vuoi impostare. Ma ciò non toglie il fatto che sia un prodotto davvero sorprendente e su cui vale veramente la pena spendere un po’ di soldi, per chi ha stile nel realizzare scatti particolari.

I used it during Diwali to capture family portraits with LED lights, and the results were stunning — natural, sharp, and full of festive glow ✨. A small tip from my experience — never use cheap step-up rings, as the filter might get stuck and can be damaged. Always go for good-quality brass step-up rings like Haida; they fit smoothly and protect the filter threads. The filter glass is clear with no color cast, and the frame feels sturdy. Overall, this is a great creative filter for anyone who wants to add sparkle and a cinematic touch to their photos. Totally worth it! 📸🌟
