This thing is SWEET! My son wanted it for Xmas bc a friend had one and let me tell you it scoots! Took my husband a little bit to assemble but he said it was fairly easy and my son loves it! Unfortunately he hit a pot hole and popped both tires so it needs those replaced but totally worth the price

Fast, installation was fairly straighforward, I would say an intermediate level of bike wrenching and you can get this DIY kit running well. It was easy to disable the class II restrictions. The tire that came with it was warped and wouldn't sit on the bead correctly. It was thoughtful to include a spoke wrench but I'd rather have had a torque arm converter. Overall I would give it a 3/5 with positives being value, ease of installation, and speed. Two points removed for a warped tire and a stripped spoke that needs to be replaced. I recommend it if you are comfortable doing your own maintenance but you may want to spend more on a prebuilt ebike if you are very new or uncomfortable with bike and ebike maintenance and repair.
