More connectivity options than you could shake a selfie stick at
This battery pack is like the Swiss Army Knife of battery packs, you don't just get the usual USB-A and USB-C outputs but the more professional grade V-Mount BP and D-Tap connectors, and the versatility doesn't just stop at the ports, a quick glance at the specification label on the front of the battery pack shown the array of output voltages this pack is able to supply.Yet, despite having all these options the battery pack is surprisingly compact and weighs just 500g. It has a slightly ruggedised exterior which claims to be shockproof, I haven't tried dropping the battery pack from a height but it certainly feels tough enough to be tossed around in the bottom of a bag without coming to any harm.Along with all the connectivity, another standout feature of this battery pack is the comprehensive display, this not only shows the current battery level, but also information like the battery health, when on charge the estimated time to being fully charged as well as the input or output wattage. The battery pack is capable of being charged via the USB-C port at 100 Watts, I have tested it with a 60w changer and can confirm it took everything the charger could give and was charged very quickly.Overall, a very versatile battery pack, especially if you have the professional equipment to take advantage of the non-USB connectors, but even when just using the USB ports it has more features and capacity than the run of the mill battery packs.

Great battery!
This is a great-value v-mount battery. V-Mount batteries have basically become a must-have part of my creation process because they mean you don't need to run cables everywhere, and this has become best friends with one of my panel lights for that reason. It has a decent capacity and charges up fairly quickly. It'll deliver power to your gear via USB or D-Tap cables to give you a DC output. This particular one is rugged feeling and doesn't add too much weight to a light stand in order to power a 60w light. The light can be run comfortably for a whole filming session and that's perfect for my uses. It's also dirt cheap if you compare it to some of the brands, so it's great as a back up as well if you've already got some of those more expensive batteries and you want some emergency juice around.

Versatile V Mount battery
The Powerextra V Mount battery arrived neatly packed in a plain cardboard box.In the box you get a 72Wh/5000mAh 14.4 volt battery and a USB A to USB C type charging cable. The battery will fit almost all equipment using V Mount batteries and is well finished with no rough edges or moulding flash. The battery features a 16.8v D Tap charging input or can also be charged by USB PD in around 75 minutes. The battery was a good fit in my Edelkrone JibOne and showed no signs of slop or of being too tight, with battery life being comparable to my other V Mount batteries.A great value spare/replacement battery for anyone using Pro video equipment.

Choice of materials, capacity, design and features point to this being aimed at the amateur market.
This Powerextra V-Mount Battery has a capacity of 72Wh which is just under three quarters of the normal V-Mount block capacity of 99Wh. As a test, I ran this through a D-Tap connection into an LED studio light at 70 watts and it ran as expected, shutting off with one per cent charge left on the block. The size of a V-Mount block's body is determined to a large extent by the size of the V-Mount itself. This block measures 84m wide by 127mm tall by 42mm deep and weighs 509g - the 99Wh V-Mount blocks that I have measure 70mm to 76mm wide x 101mm to 118mm tall by 51mm to 57mm deep and weigh 560g to 640g so, it is wider and taller than the 99Wh blocks although it does claim to have shockproof protection. It is less than 60g lighter than a 99Wh block but has a capacity of only 72Wh.The connectivity of this block is BP, D-Tap, USB C and USB A with a total output of 100W which is displayed on the LED display on the font of the block if you press the small button on the left hand side of the block. You can program it to keep this display off or on if you need it one way or the other for instance, if the block is going to be in-shot for some reason. One this that is noticeable about this is that there are no DC outputs for 8V and 12V like pretty much all other blocks have. Additionally, whilst the USB C is probably the way that you will charge this block, the actual USB C socket is in a deep recess and is very close to the rubber cover that keeps moisture out when you are not using the USB A or C sockets. The socket cover rotates about a rod that is just too close to the socket, making it difficult or impossible to plug in any USB C plug that is not extra-thin at the end without the rubber cover getting in the way and blocking it.Finally, the V-Mount itself is made from plastic and as such, will wear quicker than if it was made of metal which appears to be the standard choice of materials, certainly as far as the other V-Mount blocks that I have are concerned.Overall, this is unnecessarily tall and wide which might not be a problem if you are attaching it to a lighting stand but if you have a video rig, it could well be. The charging port is cramped in a deep narrow recess and the choice of plastic for the mount is not a good one. The design is meretricious with a oversized, PC-Game-style moulded body and a face that is crowded out with printed information that you don't need to refer to when it is in use and would be better on a small label on the back like it is on other V-Mount blocks; and, the LED display, like the rest of it is a victory of style over content - the useful information that you actually need to see, taking up 20 to 30 per cent of the actual display, the rest being pretty drawings. As you might expect, the display shows the power consumption of the various outlets and as you can see from a composite photograph running a studio light: running the lamp at ten per cent gave a battery reading of five watts on D-Tap but turning it down to eight percent, instead of giving a reading of four watts, gave a reading of zero. The choice of materials, capacity, design and features point to this being aimed at the amateur market.
