Levi's Women's 501 Original Fit Jeans (Also Available in Plus)

I’m sharing my measurements because I think that’s more helpful than weight when it comes to how pants fit. I’m 5’3 with a 29” inseam, 28”w, 37”h I ordered the 28 because my weight is fluctuating and I want to be able to wear these if my size increases in the future. That being said, they run big. I think a 27 would probably be okay for me because of the stretch - there’s more extra room around the fly and hips than in the waist. The description said 30” inseam but the pair I received measure 29” which is honestly perfect, but then, I am short. The color is amazing, the light distress on the cuffs and pockets is just right. In winter I wear leggings under pants, so these are comfortable for that as well, though I expect they’ll be a loose fit when I’m not wearing an extra layer. They seem sturdy and well-made, no loose threads or uneven seams anywhere that I could see, and I got them on sale so happy about that too. I suspect the sizing is a vanity tactic, if I could only take half a star for that I would, but left it at 5 because otherwise they’re everything I wanted in a pair of jeans I plan to wear forever.

It’s been years since my last pair of true 501s—the kind that you buy dark and over the years of washing & wearing, they fade and fit perfectly! Basically, a custom fit over time. Of course later, you could get faded off the rack, but nothing matched the Levi’s that had been authentically ‘worn’! With the entrance of stretch jeans and multiple fashions and brands to choose from, I sort of forgot about good old 501s. Recently, I’ve been wanting my old fave back and was surprised to find on Amazon! I am not disappointed! Real cotton sturdy denim! I half-expected a thin ‘version’ of my old friend; however, they are a nice weight. I am in between a 10 & 12 u.s. size, so after reading the reviews, ordered a 30 and they fit perfectly!! They are normal straight leg, not low-waisted and are quite flattering! I got the New blue which is reminiscent of the old darker wash (not as dark as an indigo, but not faded). I can just tell that these are going to turn into the custom fit I remember from many moons ago!!! The price point is perfectly fair—especially in this day and age when a pair of jeans can put you back a hundred bucks or more! Length is perfect, everything is great! I was a bit leery of the 1% elastine, but these are not stretchy. That might be one of the few differences between now and back then. I think I can safely say, mission accomplished! If it helps any, I am 5’9” and 145ish. Whether you are an old Levi fan returning to the fold, or new to 501s, get them! They only get better with time and look great no matter how you wear them!

I'll start by saying these run large. I had to size down 3 times. The length is 30" which is not my preference but I can always hem it. I am an European 36 (I rather stick to this conversion since those sizes don't fluctuate) and I ended up with a 25 on these. It took me 3 pairs to finally figure it out. I'm 5'4" and 143 lbs. The waist can be a little uncomfortable when sitting down but these are not "sit down" jeans lol. Love how much it flatters my derriere. Amazing quality. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is for the misleading sizing.

These jeans are adorable! They fit true to size. I was concerned because other people in the reviews said they ran small, for me they were not. There’s no stretch to them though. I do think Levi’s are expensive, but these are unique and so I was I’m happy with the value for money. I think they will be durable andlast a long time because they’re not full of elastic. I’m very pleased with them. I don’t know how much they’ll shrink, but I don’t plan to dry them in high heat.

I usually love Levi's Ribcage jeans, so I was excited to try the 501 Original Fit but unfortunately, these just didn’t work for me. For reference, I’m 5’4” and 118 lbs, and the fit felt stiff and unflattering compared to what I’m used to from Levi’s. Another issue was the button fly - It was extremely hard to button, which made them frustrating to wear. While the quality feels solid and the style is classic, the fit and functionality weren’t comfortable for my body type. If you love rigid, vintage-style denim these might work for you, but they weren’t a win for me personally.

I love these jeans. The 501 fit is timeless, and the subtle patchwork detail gives them just enough personality without feeling trendy in a way that won’t last. They fit beautifully and feel like true, structured denim. For reference, I typically know my Levi’s sizing and find them consistent once you dial in your preferred waist and inseam. I get compliments every time I wear them. They’re flattering, comfortable once broken in, and pair perfectly with sneakers or sandals. A great mix of classic and unique. Five stars.

These are my fourth purchase of women’s Levis from Amazon, and as of today my last. My gripe is this: The straight size women’s 501 Levi’s in a 34 are too small for me, but these-the NEXT SIZE UP, plus size 35/16- are too big. 😩🤦‍♀️ And there isn’t a size 14 on Amazon, but there IS on the Levi’s website. I can’t be the only person in this category that finds it infuriatingly frustrating that there aren’t Levi’s 501 WOMENS jeans offered in my size at all on Amazon. These are supposed to fit close in the hips and thighs, yet on my apple shaped body they’re baggy. The waist is also too large, so when I bend the excess fabric in the front resembles a diaper. The length was maybe an inch long on my 5’6 frame. Sadly, these are going back like the others I’ve tried recently and I’ll just have to order from the Levi’s website. For reference, ones I’ve tried that didn’t fit me recently are: Levi’s Curvy 501s in a 34- waist fit, too big in the hips and butt Levi’s Low Loose in a 33- too big in waist and hips and legit an extra 12 inches of fabric pooling around my feet 😑

The picture did not show it had this much acid wash. I really needed just a solid wash in this shade of denim. I like that there is no zipper. The fit is extremely flattering and the color is nice.

Love these jeans, looks so good and gives my small bum a lift. I sized up because I was worried given they’re 100% cotton but I probably would’ve been fine with my true size. I’m 5’4 and 120-125ish lbs for reference and ordered a size 26.
