ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (TruTone, Chestnut, Leaves Design)

I purchased this because I was looking for a brown leather-like Bible and there was a crazy good deal on it. After buying it I read reviews and got spooked because of the comments about the small print. I had every intention of returning this upon arrival and to continue looking for "The One". But, when it arrived I fell in love with it! The cover is GORGEOUS, even more stunning in person, the pictures online do not do it justice! Yes, the print is small, especially for my forty year old eyes, but it's honestly not as bad as I thought. And personally, I think the cream colored pages make it easier to read (in my picture the pages look white, they definitely are not). The pages themselves are a decent thickness for a Bible, they are still see through, as with most Bibles, and will likely have bleed through from notes and highlights. But these things are common with most Bibles and are not deal breakers for me. It is a great size to carry around also, not too thick and not too heavy. I highly recommend getting this version!!

This is by far the best Bible I have owned. The print is big enough for me (a young adult) to easily read, the cover is soft and easy to clean, and the paper is good quality. Of course, there is some ghosting when I highlight, but that is impossible to avoid. The paper is as thick as possible for a book of this size and I'm pleased with how it stands up to my excessive writing and highlighting. I've owned this Bible for nearly 4 years now and it has stood the test of time quite well. I can't say enough how much I adore this Bible. The cover is beautiful, simplistic, and gender neutral, so it's perfect for everyone!

Looks like a book, with wide margins to journal or make notes. Different than regular 2 column format. Nice format and cover has some light designs. A good personal size Bible for daily use and travel.

Cover: Really nice and well made. The leaf details give the front of the Bible a cute design and some texture Pages: Good, a little bit thicker feeling than other Bibles I have had. However, so far I would say writing does leak/ show through. So if that's a really big pet peeve for you then this Bible may not be it. Or you can just get types of pens that may not show through on the other side. Also, I like how the pages are a bit more "yellow" than just bright white pages. Writing: Definitely small! If you need a medium to large fount, I definitely don't recommend this Bible for that purpose. I do like how it is one column. It makes reading the Bible feel more like a novel, which is strangely a plus for me. It's also super nice how all the chapter section headings are all on the same side, so you can easily find something if you need it. Extra: There are no extra maps or even chapter introductions. Just a plain Bible. It does of course have little footnotes. But if you want a Bible with maps and a little more explanation for the chapters and texts, I recommend getting a study Bible instead. (Plus if you are a new believer or new to reading the Bible, I highly recommend a study Bible as they explain soooo much and makes understanding a lot easier). Shipping: Came SUPER fast through Prime. And it came out of the package perfectly. However, I did find it strange that it was literally just the Bible thrown into the package. There was no bubble wrap or extra protection. All in all: Great Bible and great shipping experience! Definetely recommend!

I knew exactly what I wanted in this Bible purchase. Although I didn't get all the features I wanted, it was the only ESV Bible I could find anywhere that met most of the requirements. I'll lay out what I wanted and then indicate with a yes or no whether this bible fit the bill. ESV - Yes Lined margins for journaling - Yes Verse cross references - No Off white page color - Yes Large font - No (it's only a 7, I should have held out for the large print version coming out in March) Single column - Yes Ribbon marker -Yes (although I would have liked to have 4 ribbons instead of just one) A thicker page to prevent bleed through - Yes NOT a compact version - Yes Attractive Cover - Yes (I am very pleased with the appearance, it's nicer than the photo portrays) Lies virtually flat when open - Yes (even from the very first time I opened it) Hardcover - No (I had wanted a hardcover, but none I found had enough of the features I wanted. However, after receiving this one I am very happy with the soft cover and am glad I did go with a hardcover. This one feels nice in your hands and lays nicely in your lap when curled up on the sofa.) Sturdy binding - Maybe (It seems pretty secure and I can lift it by just the cover without worry. I don't know how it would hold up over time if toted around. I plan to keep this one at home for personal study time.) Given all of the above, I am very happy. Although, as previously mentioned, I really should have waited for the large print version of this very same bible to be released in March. The font is very small and a bit difficult to read with my over 40 eyes. If you need a larger font and can wait 2 months, I strongly recommend that. If small font doesn't bother you, buy it today. I deducted one star because there is a section of about 50 pages that had been obviously folded over during the binding process. They were unfolded and laid back flat prior to it being packed (probably by someone on a quality control line). This is all fine and it isn't anything that I would have returned the book over.

I love this Bible. Although it took a very long time to arrive (3 months) I still recommend it because it’s super practical if you like to Bible journal. The format is really nice.

The pages are a bit thin so make sure to buy good pens and highlighters that don't bleed through when annotating but other than that it's good quality and came really quick.

Eccezionale!! Bellissima Bibbia, copertina graziosa e di qualità come la carta di cui è fatta, sottile ma che non trasferisce il tratto di appositi evidenziatori e penne dall'altro lato della pagina. Tanto spazio per appuntare note e si apre piatta. Ma la cosa più importante è sicuramente il messaggio di cui si fa portavoce: la traduzione ESV rientra tra le più letterarie ma comunque comprensibile, anche per chi ha un livello di inglese intermedio (magari affiancata ad un buon vocabolario). Consigliata ad ogni Cristiano che si senta chiamato a studiare le Scritture: il journaling è un metodo adatto a far sorgere domande che altrimenti, con una lettura classica, sfuggirebbero. Consiglio di guardare i numerosi video online per chi è alle prime armi e desidera approcciarsi al metodo! Tantissimi auguri a chi deciderà di affrontare questo viaggio nella Parola!

1st bible i’ve ever owned . Its a nice esv version love the single column and space for notes not that i would write in it. Its to beautiful to mess up with my awful writing. Beautiful cover too. Was drawn to getting a copy and to start reading this with all the depraved evil you can see now happening in the world especially the satanic plans the left and WEF have planned for us. God save us
