Designed for explosiveness in the gym, these training shoes are made to feel like barefoot, but better. Review: Comfortable, lightweight, and great for training - I bought the New Balance Men’s Minimus TR V2 cross-training shoes and I’m very happy with them. They are lightweight and very comfortable, with a flexible sole that works well for gym workouts and training sessions. The fit is true to size and provides good stability. The design is simple and sporty, and the material feels durable. They also offer good grip and balance during exercises. Overall, this is a great training shoe and good value for the price. I would definitely recommend it. Review: Great Shoe ... Size Matters - These are great. However the lasts run small on these shoes. I'm a 10.5 normally and that means 11 in most shoes I wear these days. When ordering these shoes. Go up one full size. For example if your normally wear 11s (as I do) then order 12s. This also applies to widths. If you have a high bridge or arch or thicker in the ankle/heel do the same. If you normally do one width, do two widths on these. Also, if you are considering footbeds in these shoes then you need to go even bigger. 1.5 for a size and one extra width. This seems crazy, but I am wearing their 12s and I have never worn 12s in any footwear in my life. I am not using these with a footbed and I have a narrow heel (I'm flat footed too) I rock the 12s fine. They are fantastic for P90x workouts and lifting. Runs - I would say not long runs like warmups and maybe a mile or two of running. Light stuff on running but that's not what these shoes are for. Summary: These run small go up one size (ie if you are a 11 then get 12) The same goes for width get one more than you normally do. If you are going with footbeds in these I would personally go up 1.5 in size and one width more than normally to allow for the footbed to fit comfortably. Once you get the fit, these shoes are great for the function you want.

Great NB Minimus Shoe, Runs Half Size Small.
This is an excellent New Balance minimal cross training shoe. The shoe runs a half size small, so go up when you order, and I got the wide fit for additional room. Nice wide grippy sole for stability with Minimus zero drop profile. Although, I'll admit that adding a lightweight padded insole would make these supreme. I love NB Minimus shoes and was disappointed when NB got rid of their Minimus running line... My only complaints are the neoprene tongue because it slides a bit and the size issue which hints at lower production QA standards for New Balance. Regardless, it's a great lightweight zero drop shoe, especially if you can get them on sale. Easily 4 stars, 5 if my regular size fit out of the box. Pro-Tip: run the laces over themselves at the last loops for DIY lace lock. See pic.

Great shoe! Sizing matters.
Great shoe! Durable, good traction and look great. On my feet all day and feel comfortable. Compared to most athletic shoes, the price is also worth it. I have a narrow foot but prefer zero drop and wide toe boxes. Reading through other reviews, I noticed people saying these were narrow so I opted in for "Wide" and glad I did. If you have a wide foot or are use to wide toe boxes (Vivo or XERO) I suggest going wide. I typically fit 10.5-11- my NB are 10.5 Wide and fit perfectly.

Not typical of the Minimus brand.
This is a narrow shoe, my wide is more like a regular. It is also shorter than expected, order a size up. It has a molded foot bed, which Minimus never had. It has a very stiff sole that doesn't flex well and there is a ledge to the heel that catches and messes up my gait. I exclusively wear Minimus and this doesn't have any of the features I expect.

Mostly faithful...mostly :P
While MOSTLY faithful to the Minimus line, this rendition has a slightly narrower toe box but is not terribly confining. I do feel this shoe is a bit slimmer through the arch as well. Upside it seems sturdier than the v1 and i'm pretty sure the sole will withstand more of a beating...we'll see. Still fairly flat but not a true 0. Not sure the original was either.

Best shoes I’ve ever owned. Worth every penny.
My new favorite shoes. First time I’ve spent over $100 on shoes. I usually buy running shoes on sale only. But new balance is a good brand, and you can’t really go wrong with new balance athletic cross trainers. And zero regrets. These shoes are awesome. I got the wider ones, because I have an issue with my nerves, that caused 1 foot to be a little misshapen. And they are super comfortable.
