I highly recommend these for your kitchen. I have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and snack throughout the day because I WFH. This light has done an excellent job of catching so many little flying insects, more than I knew I had! It also puts off a black white type color that creates a fun glow for my uranium glass, and white kitchen towels. I have not noticed any spiders caught by this, which makes me happy because it’s the little gnats, flies, and fruit flies that I want dealt with. Clean up and replacement is easy, and one lasts for a very long time for me. I bought two more after the first one. Placed one by an outer door that often got bugs, and the other in the bathroom, where I inexplicably would get small bugs around my drain during the warmer months. They work great, look good, easy to use, and a good value. I can recommend.

Just buy this if you have gnats or fruit flies around your home that you just can't get rid of. I left bananas out while away on the weekend and when i came back, the kitchen was filled with these pests!! What really helped was not the home made remedies i seen online, but this product did the trick. Pros: Easy to plug and leave it to do its job. No smell at all either, which is a plus. Looks sleek so not obnoxiously large. Cons: I have changed it many times but maybe that's just me not wanting to see lots of gnats or fruit flies on the back Overall, buy it to get rid of these pest flies! You can use it anywhere, i just happen to use it in my kitchen.

Clever light to keep gnats under control. Simple design, easy to use, works as advertised. Gnats are attracted to the light fairly quickly. Sticky paper easily replaced.

***Updated October 20, 2025> changing to 5 stars as I checked trap and it’s covered with fruit flies and little moths, so it took about a week but something kicked in and brought in the little buggers!**** Had an invasion of fruit flies from grocery produce I bought, so I ordered this plugin. Hasn’t trapped as many fruit flies as it should. Got a few on there(and a little moth) and then no more. Wonder if the flies learn to stay away??

I had an annoying fruit fly issue & it was especially bad over the hotter months. I’d open my door for a second & suddenly a bunch of them would be in my kitchen. I tried some homeopathic methods & vigorous cleaning but nothing was working. I purchased this Safer Home plugin and within a couple days, the fly issue was gone! And when new ones would come in, I’d leave the plugin in my dark kitchen overnight & the following day most of the flies were caught. I also like that it serves as an improvised night light. The plug in comes with a set of sticky traps & months later, I have yet to use them all. This thing really works & it was a great price!

This trap is excellent at catching both big and small bugs, mosquitoes, moths, etc. It’s a nice natural way to trap bugs without the mess and stink of pesticides plus it’s very well designed. It’s so nice to plug it in and forget about for a while.

Left it on for 3 days. It caught nothing. My house is still filled with house flies.

This product is really bad. I bought two of them, and both exploded in my face as soon as I turned them on. I strongly advise against buying it. Take care of yourselves and look for a safer and better alternative.
