NEW! Premium ADSL Filter / Splitter Safecom

I have recently moved house and foolishly I left my last BT filters at my old house, so was forced to use the Sky Broadband filters supplied with their router. Having used SamKnows.com (A very good source for UK broadband information) to work out what speeds I should expect from my exchange (Around 2.5 - 7Mbps) once the Sky 10 day router training period was over, i was horrified to see speeds of just 800Kbps. So I started checking everything in the connections. I changed out the adsl RJ11 cable, ensured I had good test on the BT Main Socket, no interference on phone - All these beared no significant improvements on speed.The only thing left was the micro filter. I bought this microfilter and installed at the master BT Socket. I am now seeing speeds of 1.6Mbps - Double!!!!! (1536Kbps) which I am still not happy with, however this is an issue I need to take up with Sky.Excellent product and excellent service by the seller. Ordered on Thursday (Standard delivery) and arrived Saturday Morning.

Bought this because although I was getting a decent Broadband download speed, I was continually getting "Time-outs" which was extremely frustrating.These have cured the problem, and for the price paid, a bargain.They do not have the branding on the body as in the picture, and who knows whether the innards are as per the other picture, but hey, they work!Recommended.

Larger than previous ones I have owned, does not have safecom logo on it, just plain. Haven't noticed any increase in speed, but it stops any line interference which is the main thing.

Being 3 miles from the BT station, I get a relatively slow BB speed. Speeds have increased by around 10%, and I seem to get better connections at busier times. I also have problems reconnecting after times away from home, which have improved since using this filter. So no huge improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.

Not sure if it's the new one I Recieved because the one That came has no writing on it what's so ever and looks like the old version the picture of the new ! Premium ADSL Filter /Splitter Safecom shows it having wriring on it . It seems to be working ok

My phone went out of order and after two days a BT engineer tracked the problem down to a loose connection in a BT box half a mile away in the High Street. In the meantime I bought this ADSL filter mistakenly thinking a tired Sky microfilter could be the cause of my problems. On switching this new filter with my old Sky filter I find the new filter is less good giving only 2.58 Mbps compared to 3.32 with the Sky filter. It seems I have wasted my money!

It was a decent price and arrived on time...I cannot rave about it but I was getting cut off from the internet when the phone rang but now I am not so it does its job which is exactly why i bought it so definite 5 stars from me....maybe they all do that though? It allows me to write this review while my wife chats on the phone!gerry

ADSL filters that have no label or specs; they do seem to work & were reasonably priced.
