This product was exactly what I was looking for! I was pleasantly surprised when it came in professional packaging showing the care of the product not being a cheap toy. Next I went to the instructions and was pleasantly surprised to find there was an option to turn off the beeping sound when it detects and you can switch it to a vibrate when it detects. The instructions were thorough and clear and even provided examples of when and where you might use a feature on the device. If you do not read the instructions this product will be useless and confusing to you. I got to test this on my car and used the MS function to pick up on signals. You can use your phone since it gives of signals to set the dial to the distance you want the signal to pick up by putting it on a surface and standing the distance away you want it to pick up the signal. But note if you’re too far it might just pick up the wifi signal (make sure you remove smartwatches/fitbits so it doesn’t threw off the signal while using this device). I got a strong signal behind my left rear tire. I was greatly troubled until I noticed my tired was on top an electrical cable which set off the signal. Though there was no concern, it showed this device is effective! I feel confident in using this device and its multiple functions to feel safe in my traveling. It’s easy to take apart to be compact for travel as well. I think if you have a medium sized purse you could keep it in there or even your glove box. The only think I wish it was better with is picking up a magnet from a distant, thought i understand why that’s not entirely possible so it does a fine job as it is.

The JMDHKK K18+ is a capable and affordable privacy protection tool that does exactly what it promises for its price point. It's perfect for the average person who wants a simple, effective way to check for hidden cameras and bugs while traveling . While it may have occasional false alarms and a learning curve, the peace of mind it offers is undeniable. It's a smart, practical investment for safeguarding your personal privacy.

Instead of the omnidirectional narrowband antenna that comes with the device - which picks up signals the best around 2GHz or thereabouts (guesstimate) - I purchased a cheap Logarithmic Periodic wideband antenna to attach with a short adapter cable. I had to solder the connector that came with the antenna onto the PCB, but overall the performance now is of a much higher quality and sensitivity than with the antenna that comes with the unit. I can now detect strongly the roughly 880MHz signal coming from the smart meters that are acting as data uplinks, the (poss.) cellular signal booster and wifi router that our neighbor has beaming into our office, through the wall and bouncing down off the roof (extremely strong signal, which is worrying). The sensitivity and expanded detection range has allowed me to perform surveys of radiofrequency hot zones along highly populated tourist areas, where extremely strong Line of Sight and reflected signals come from cell towers (microcells on highrise buildings, small micro/picocell poles, microcells on police department buildings, large macrocell towers... and many more sources) Overall, with the reduced price, and with the upgraded capability, I am now happy with the performance of the product. The manufacturer should really think about adding an alternate model that comes with a wideband directional antenna in a non-conductive plastic housing with a grip to point it at things.

Incredibly difficult to use! I was never able to use it and I put it aside. I just found it again still in the box but my return window has closed. Very very tricky.

So far works ok. Wish I would have known that there were higher end models from this company as we wanted to purchase in bulk and use this as a test to provide to my companies team members for safety while on job sites.

The product is well made. It's sturdy and has many useful functions. The manual is in English and Spanish and is detailed and easy to understand. There's many illustrations compared to the manuals of many electronics which have none. Based on the feature descriptions I believe this product will fit my needs. I will update this review further as I test the different functions.

What an amazing gadget! It detects and finds damn near every kind of snooper device on the market. The only thing it can't find is atomic materials. But if you have something that sees ultraviolet you could probably see the beta radiation coming off I'd radon or radium. I also have a pen type of detector but this widget detects several things the pen gadget doesn't. For instance, radio waves/transmitters/GPS/Tile trackers. I highly recommend this baby to anybody who is serious about personal security. It's one of the better units out there in the affordable market. Want better? Be prepared to shell out some better money. Highly recommend.
