Metra 95-7510HG Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2004-2008 Mazda RX8

I got this kit for my RX8 fitted perfectly my only concern is the slow movement with the fan and ac temp controls could this be a upgrade issue ?

So I purchased this kit in June 2023, went travelling bought a house and this week (September 2024) got my double din unit and decides to fit it. Which in itself was fun. However after the hours it took to install I realised the HVAC system on my RX8 wasn't working. I cannot not display the temp. I cannot change the air circulation from inside the cabin to outside. I cannot demist the rear windows. Sometimes the temperature doesn't change or work. The buttons for the ac which usually light up don't work. I cannot change the time. I cannot change the start up text. In essence there is now a lot more I cannot do for the price which I used to be able to. I double checked it wasn't my cars unit by using a second one I have and still tbe problem persists which means it's the Metra (Axxess) integration box. Being that it has been over a year Metra (Amazon) will not exchange it for me and get this they do not sell the box separately so I will have to buy an entire new kit just for the black box which also may not work judging my others experiance. So honestly avoid this. I spent hours fault finding but at least it looks nice even though HVAC doesn't currently work.

Useless without the brackets to hold the head unit! Supposed to be included according to the instructions and pics on Amazon. Nice product otherwise but can't install and after waiting around to have it delivered.. very disappointing!
