If you do any sort of work around the house that involves interior paint, you need this! We've been users since the original Color Muse came out, and it was always a somewhat hit or miss because of the measurement variations/match recommendation caused by paint finish & surface texture. With the Color Muse v2, finish & texture-related paint matching errors are no longer an issue. The new colorimeter system identifies perfect matches every time which can be a serious money saver when you consider how expensive quality paint can be. We've used it a number of times to perfectly match a broad range of colors & finishes when finishing home renovation projects that involved painting after drywall work, which saves time & money since we can paint only the actual work areas instead of entire walls.

Works ok . Not very accurate for matching colors perfect. I will only match to certain paint companies colors like Sherwin Williams ,ppg and Ben Moore . If you use you will have to repaint the wall or what ever you are trying to touch up. Color may be close but not a perfect match.

Greatly simplifies color matching when doing leather repairs. I’m able to get a much better match than doing the match by eye. When I match by eye the match looks perfect when I do it but then it’s never quite right when the light changes from outdoor to indoor, for example, but when I use the color muse the match looks great even when the light changes.

Maybe these other people have had different results than me, but I have used this repeatedly and not once has it been close to accurate. I even tested it on new colors that I knew the name of the color just to see if that color would even be in any of the top suggestions,Not even close. I guess you could use it to get some color samples and then narrow it down from there but don't ever expect it to be able to actually identify the paint color. Have I kept the box like I should have I would return it, as frankly it is much cheaper and simpler to just assume your color is a light blue and then go get some samples and match it.

Works well. Best at comparing samples to vendor color samples, provides ranking of vendor colors that are the closest match.
