how many units per order

I don't understand what you mean by units, but it was a such a big bag that I could not pick it up, I'm a female 5 feet tall. I have a patio-container garden and it was enough for 3 whiskey barrels of veggies (mixing it with some organic potting soil) and I had enough left to mix with all of my other plants, herbs, flowers, and houseplants.I even had enough to transplant some plants into bigger pots. My plants are doing really amazing after using this product and I don't have to water as often as before I started using it. If you have more questions please let me know.

In case anyone else is asking this question ( 2022). I was able to get this info from the seller, yesterday. 1 bag = 1.2 CF. 22 bags = 1 CY 60 bags ( 1 pallet) = 3 CY's.

Would this work as a top dressing for a lawn before overseeding?

I did - the grass grew everywhere I top dressed and in most cases didn't grow where I didn't!

I am thinking of putting this into a raised herb and vegetable garden. Is it to strong to mix with 4 or 5) 40 lb bags of vegetable potting soil?

I don't have experience using this raw within a garden as I use it to make compost tea. But I would say it depends on of the potting soil you are planning to use already has manure in the contents. From what I've read manure is good in the 10%-20% range
