Easy to install. Found a great tip online when hanging anything on the wall. Put a dab of toothpaste on the back of the items and press against the wall where you want to hang your item. Pull it away and now you know where to put your nail. Wipe off the toothpaste and there you go!! Easy Peasy!!

Without a doubt, these shelves are beautiful and now make my vanity complete. I wanted to like these so bad. I even bought two sets. Now that they are up, I will be leaving them up....but I almost gave up two shelves in. My poor boyfriend, who is experienced with using tools wanted to tear his hair out. Levels, tape measures, hammers and drills. Pencils and rulers too. This took hours. The first problem we experienced is that we could not get the shelves to hang on the screws. This was because, we assumed the distance between holes was exactly the same on each shelf. This was a mistake, as each shelf has holes slightly different distances away. Once we were able to get distances down, some shelves held securely to the wall, other hung slightly tilted. Those shelves have the lightest weight items and I am still unsure how long they will hold. Overall, I wish I had gone with a different product.

I destroyed one of the shelves in the first set of these I bought and had to buy a second set to finish a project for my wife. If they're installed correctly, they're great -- fairly sturdy and very seamless looking, which is nice. The problem is that the installation is a bear. You have to drive the mounting screws partially into the wall, and then the shelf slides down over the heads of the screws like a claw hammer straddling a nail. But if you get the distance on the screws too long, the shelves hang loose. Too short, and trying to force the shelf onto the screws can irreparably damage the shelf. Finding the happy medium is time-consuming and not always possible. Some of the shelves I installed looked great first time, others never sat flush against the wall and had to be replaced. Overall, I can't really recommend these except for their appearance. If you need a white floating shelf that looks seamless, these are a great choice, but I'd buy twice the number you need to allow for failures.

I hung these in the spare bedroom for pictures. they are 2 small to align with the wall studs so used the anchor thinges which never work right. No matter how I adjusted the screws the shelf would not stay snug against the wall due to the fraction of an inch where the anchor things stick out, therefore the shelf would tip foward. I ended up putting a support bracket under each one of them

These shelves are MDF and there is no reinforcement of the recesssed attachment point (see top photo). The lower photo shows the reinforcement on other shelves of a similar price. Be very careful during installation- these are flimsy! I installed 2 of the 3 anyway, but I don't expect them to last long, even with less than a pound on each shelf. I will update this review if they don't hold up.

I bought 6 of these and had them professionally installed. The wall hangers were not good so the contractor used better ones; he warned me not to put much weight on the shelves as they are flimsy. I am using them to hold rolled up towels in the bathroom, so the weight on the shelf is about 1-2 pounds, well below the spec of 5 pounds. Lasted 2 days - I took off a towel and the shlef fell off the wall. It is made of flimsy presswood and won't hold the hanging screws. The presswood disintegrated, and pulled right out from the weight of the shelf. Can't get a refund because it took too long to get them hung, now it's too late. Don't bother with this product.

While the shelves arrived in perfect condition and the installation process (key holes, provided wall anchors, provided screws, etc.) was familiar compared to past projects I have completed, when hanging the shelves and testing their sturdiness against the wall, even knocking the shelf down so the screws were secured in the latch ruined the key holes for the shelves. It was then revealed that they were nothing but reinforced cardboard.Considering past reviews placed these shelves in a bathroom on this website, I am now quite alarmed by these reveals and now doubt the sturdiness and compatibility of these shelves in my bathroom. Now that the keyholes are partially damaged from firm, yet light tapping into place, I cannot confirm that this shelving system can hold 10 lbs as advertised per shelf. I also now doubt how long these will survive in a small bathroom and being exposed to moisture. I would also advise everyone to avoid using the wall anchors they provide as they break easily and urge people to get the white anchors with a screw-type body instead of the streamlined straight ones they give you, no matter if they do butterfly open in the wall. Better to feel that lock in place with the screw type anchors than not!

I purchased this shelf to go over a toilet, to hold a tissue box and maybe a few misc. small items. It looks nice, but it's incredibly flimsy. Our contractor (who installed it) said it wouldn't hold more than 2 lbs. -- forget the 8 lbs. it says in the product description! It also doesn't install flush against the wall, which makes it slant downward 2.5 degrees. You may have better luck with the flush installation if you can attach it to studs, but we couldn't do that and also center it over the toilet. I'm replacing this shelf.

The shelves have been great for me. They are not heavy duty, so just plan for them to support a couple of pounds. I read some complaints about installation. Here's a tip: Tape thumbtacks into the holes and then press against the wall in your desired location. You will then have small pilot holes for your drill.

This is MDF so it's hollow in the inside and no support for the mounting holes if it breaks. So be careful. It's a challenge to install. Could have been a lot easier if there was a paper pattern of some sort you can just trace and mark where you need to drill the holes. OR I don't mind paying a bit more if they can use a metal mounting. I bought a smaller shelf (see the other image). The smaller shelf can definitely hold more weight than this shelf. Another gripe, I bought this shelf last week, I plan to get another set but the price went up 5 bucks. SMH.Overall, I don't recommend this to those who hate to measure down to the millimeter. The margin for error is really high. To the manufacturer, make the mounting process easy for the average consumer. I've attached an image of a smaller shelf I bought which has a simple but effective mounting bracket.

I love these floating shelves!!! Looks great I use them to display my Diecast cars which probably weigh 2-4 pounds. They are a little difficult to install and to make level it takes me a little over an hour to install 3 and make them fairly level. There are complaints about them falling when objects are put on them, in my opinion this is from improper installation or too much weight being put on them I believe the max weight is 5 pounds. I have installed over 10 of these and have never had an issue. There are however two down sides to these which make me change rating from 5 Star to a 4 Star they do have a weird cheap/fake wood smell to them and it doesn't really go away I have them in a staircase going to basement and can still smell them a couple months later it does fade from a smell of 10 to about a 2 after couple weeks. This however does not bother me as they look great and do their job, in a larger room I doubt you would notice smell after a week. The other complaint is they have raised the price of these in my opinion they should be 29.99 for 3 pack as they are cheap material they now go for $40-50 for 3 pack.

Very simple but good quality shelf. Exactly what I was looking for. Install was ok, I opted to use self drilling wall plugs instead of the included ones to add stability. Used a measure tape and level to get the shelf in the correct position, would have liked to see a template included. Overall really like this shelf. Great value and the size is perfect. And the quality is great.

Perfect shelf. It's holding up so far. I've got a 2 1/2 lb. speaker on it. No gap from wall. I did use different hardware because I read a review saying a screw that came with it broke while screwing in. I wasn't screwing into studs so I might of been okay using what was supplied. I didn't want any hassle so I got something that came with the same size screw. I screwed the screws about 3/4 of the way in then tried the shelf. If there's a gap keep screwing in and checking till there's no gap. Quick and easy install.
