I own the MindPlace Kasina as well. I chose this to have a battery-powered unit to take when my Kasina is recharging. While the range of programs is lovely, i find I keep coming back to 10 hz in manual mode, as this alpha wave setting seems to produce the best visuals and mental recharge. Love this for neurodivergent support - enhancing focus while keeping my mind relaxed, helping with concentration without overstimulation.

Recently went through an autistic burnout, was having issues always being tired but unable to sleep at night. I ended up having to change my sleep schedule, but this has helped dramatically with maintaining energy, especially throughout the day. I actually light the lights too.

I don’t often leave reviews, but I feel like I really had to leave one for this purchase. Backstory, I’ve always struggled with traditional meditation techniques due to my brain being very, very busy. It’s the kind of innate busy that doesn’t get better with meditation. Sometimes breathing techniques can help, but it can be hit or miss. I’ve often felt like I’m somewhat of a fraud for knowing so much about Meditation, but not being able to put it into practice for myself. Enter… The Limina! I have personally found this little device nothing short of miraculous. It gives me enough input with the lights and the pulsing, moving and changing tones and frequencies to keep focused and present enough to get though a 25- 35 minute session without much bother. This is something I’ve tried and failed to do for years. I’m over the moon that I have something that know I can turn to, no matter what state I am in. It’s pulled me back from some pretty uncomfortable and spikey situational anxiety, it’s made me feel so, incredibly relaxed before sleep. It’s a lovely morning pick me up. For me, it’s the whole package and it’s been immensely helpful. Pros: Small, light, sleek design. Clear instructions about how to use it. Good battery life. Lots of different options for specific focuses (sleep, focus, relax, unwind, mind art) Cons: It is rather expensive and for me, this was a massive splurge. I don’t regret it but was an awful lot of money. The menu system is adequate, but can be a little annoying to navigate. I’ve not been able to find any information on the attributes of the different frequencies for more focused sessions. All in all, I’m SO pleased with this purchase. It’s improved the quality of my life and deeply relaxed and restored me when I’ve desperately needed it. I wish I’d got one a long time ago when I first started looking. It’s a great source of comfort.

This is an excellent device. Previously I've used a light therapy machine called Enkidu, (that is much more expensive and mounts on a tripod, with the user lying down at the edge of a bed) and found some benefits to light therapy. Mostly, it helps me meditate and relax, also I've used it as a form of psychotherapy. Limina is able to provide similar effects with some perks, like playing music simultaneously and most of all being able to use it on a couch in a sitting position. Although the technology is pretty old and could be updated and the price is still high, I give it five stars for the many features, practicality and convenience.
