This is an exact fit replacement for the OEM license plate holder on my 2022 X5. Except for not being OEM, it is superior to the original. Pros: *Near exact shape and size. *(2-3 mm smaller in width.) *Near exact same thickness *Anti rattle foam on back all 4 license plate screw attach points. (OEM only has anti rattle foam on 2 of the attach points.) *Threaded brass inserts for license plate screws. Machine screws fit perfectly. *All stainless steel fasteners. No worry about rust streaks from cheap hardware. *Security Torx fasteners, to discourage license plate thieves. *Same durable material as the OEM holder. *Much better value than the OEM. Cons: Doesn't have the OEM branding molded into the back side. I will keep the OEM holder, so when I sell my X5, I can give it to the next owner. But this is a much better option that the OEM. BTW,, ignore the Amazon Garage, when it says that this part will not fit your G05 X5.

This bracket mounted up perfectly and seems well made. The holes lined up and were nicely threaded. Hardware was good quality and threaded in securely. I don't know of a reason to spend more or to get an OEM version. Excellent value.

I had to get a new license plate and I could not get it off of the frame at all the screws were all rusted. I ordered this new plate frame bracket and it fits my BMW 328i perfectly!

I got a new license plate after my old one spent 22 years on the same car. Some of the screw fittings holding the plate to the original factory holder were just rusted out totally. So I had to remove the old holder and get this one. It works fine in general. The holes are a bit off, but not so far you can't get the screws in. It goes on firmly, and I have no fears it's going to fall off or lose the plate. Nothing special about it, but no red flags either. For reference, my car is a 2001 330ci, but I think this will work on just about all E46 3 series BMWs as well as some other models.

When I purchased my 2012 Copper S last month, I was unable to remove the license plate of the previous owner. After multiple failed attempts I determined that replacing the mounting frame would be the easiest option. This kit comes with everything needed and I felt it was reasonably priced. I'm very pleased with the look, quality and durability of the mount, and it's threaded brass attachment points will always be rust free. Overall, I'd highly recommend this replacement part.
