I bought these on the recommendation of a friend who has one. I was NOT disappointed. Put a dab of peanut butter (PB) on the bait spot (chop sticks, toothpicks work best), set the traps and caught a mouse first 2 nights. Next night, no mouse, but the PB was gone. Changed batteries (cheap ones), same thing. Bought better quality batteries (the one that the bunny advertises). Working again! Tips - make sure there is NOTHING touching the shock pads, that makes the trap useless. Make sure you use higher quality batteries. This does not draw the same power that your tv remote does. Ease of installation? - a bit of bait, install batteries, set and go away. I have one in my office (I work in a warehouse) and one in my kitchen. Stickiness - not sticky at all! It kills them dead immediately. Disposal is great, just open the trap and dump the dead critter in the trash! Design - small, compact, fits practically anywhere. No worrying about pets getting into it, unless you have mice that get loose, then I suggest you shut it off or remove the batteries until you find your little pet. For the record - I am not a mouse hater in general, only the ones that invade my home when they should be living outside. I think they are cute and fun to pet, if they are pets. Not wild outdoor types though - they need to stay there.

These work amazing! It was delivered yesterday. My son and I easily set them up. At 7 am we caught the first one. My son empty the trap. And we reset it by 10:00 a.m. we had a second one. The pros easy to set up, easy to clean up, easy to release the dead mouse, easy to reset, easy to tell that there is a mouse caught in the trap. No mess no smell. Cons the awful sound the mouse makes when it's being shocked. It was in between a bird chirp and a mouse squeak. It broke my heart. But not enough to not use them.

I live in a rural area in an old home- rodents are kind of expected, especially as you get into the colder months. We’re working on sealing up all of the access points outside, and we have two cats, but let me tell you- these traps work fantastic. I bought non-poisonous bait to dab inside the traps in the back corner (there’s a small circle in front of the vented part where to do this), stuck the batteries in, and in the first weekend of use we easily caught 5 mice with the trap! I never noticed a noise, but the catches I’m fairly certain happened overnight. Nothing is sticky- it’s not a glue trap. The light flashes green when it has something in the trap, so it’s very easy to glance over and see if you need to clean it out. To be honest I missed a couple of times where a mouse was caught in some of the more remote spots we set them up, but eventually mother nature let us know (iykyk). Since I do live in a rural area, I’d just throw a vinyl glove on and pick the full trap up, turn it off, and bring it out by the woods to empty it. Pop it open and shake the mouse out (since nothing was poisoned, some other critter outside gets a nice easy snack). I’d then take a couple of cotton swabs dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean out where the bait was and where the mouse was, let it dry and air out, and reset it. The most effective way to set up the trap is to bait it and put it in a quiet room or closet where you think they’re entering up along a wall (there’s hole side next to the wall, not on the outside of the trap) since mice tend to run along the walls. Make sure you check/change the batteries every 6 months (or more often if the traps are getting a lot of action). These traps are fantastic, definitely recommend.

I keep having issues with these traps. Sometimes they catch the mice perfectly and sometimes the mice chew threw the bait trap door. This happened to me with 2 traps so far. When it works it works well but I cant keep investing in traps they aren't bite proof. They need stainless steel in that front bait window area. Im so frustrated bc I like this trap alot and it has worked to kill a few mice but I need something that is better quality.

I recently bought an old farmhouse, and after moving in it was clear that I had stepped into a war on mice, I got a little carried away and ordered a few different styles of traps and scattered them everywhere, and these are by far my favorite. I was unsure of the battery's ability to zap the mice, but I have been thoroughly impressed. both have taken care of multiple mice on one set of batteries. One I have inside the house, the other I ended up putting in my detached garage which is not heated and located in Minnesota) and even in the negative temperatures that we have been experiencing the last couple of months, the one in the garage has still caught a couple and finally gave me the light that the batteries were dying after it had caught many mice, and a few in negative temps. when it does catch a mouse, i have never seen any sign of struggle, and i just bring the whole thing to my outside garbage, and dump it out, then re-set the switch and put it back, very clean and easy to use, especially if you struggle stomaching these things. 10/10 I have already recommended these, and will be ordering more if I am unable to seal my house any better than it is currently to keep them out all together, which i would say is the only thing more effective than these.
