You don't generally think about a product like this, until you need it. There are a lot of adhesives out there and I've tried quite a few, but for a temporary sticking-something-to-something-else job, I can always count on Sticky Tack. It stays pliable and it does what I need it to do, a solid little workhorse that's good to have around the house, for those odd times when you find yourself needing something exactly like that. Good product that does the job consistently.

Who would have thought sticky tack would come back :) and be so handy, too? This is a super-multi-purpose tack. I use it to stick posters and light artwork on my walls (as long as the item or frame is not too heavy, it works), curtains and paper/plastic decor along banisters and ceilings for themed parties, and as a substitute for krazy glue (in the meantime) to keep ceramics and other materials stuck together (though krazy glue is preferred in certain cases for the long run because it is a more permanent fix). I even filling in old, unused screw holes in our wooden furniture with some tack, and now I can stick a thumb tack or push pin right into the sticky tack filling to post up papers. Great thing is, over a year and a half later, old hardened tack still rolled off my walls without damaging the paint (you just have to take one piece of tack and roll it on top of the stuck portions multiple times)!! I couldn't find this in our local stores unfortunately :( The blue color is my favorite part! (Also, Great Seller! Item as described, timely delivery, would highly recommend buying from them.)

even after molding this material with your hands for a few minutes and warming it up, it does not appear to get very sticky and soft. Even small pieces of paper to fall off the walls after a few days.

The Sticky Tack worked as advertised and I am happy with my purchase

This is the best sticky tack formula. It surprisingly holds a decent amount of weight to the wall. I used it to mount some holiday decorations to the wall that each weighted about a quarter of a lb and they all stayed up.

Despite following instructions and trying repeatedly, I could not get tack to be sticky enough to hold up posters.

This works well at holding objects up as long as the sticky tack stays warm and the objects aren't too heavy. If it gets too cold the stick tack gets hard and gives out. The only problem is that it is pretty blue, and it does leave blue residue when you take it off. You can get the residue off just by blotting it with a bigger ball of stick tack, it is just a little tedious.

Left blue stains on my wall and was difficult to remove. Serves its purpose as long as you want things to stay on the wall.
