Just setting up my system in my remote country cabin, this book is a huge help.

Excellent book will help a lot

Ought this to learn the basics to determine if I want to go off-grid with solar or a hybrid system on the property I just bought. This looked to be the best book for getting started.

Has plenty of pics, well structured and written. Lot of information.

I A great theoretical and philosophical general knowlege wordy primer advocating the use and integration of solar systems. if you are interested in a practical step by step DIY specific solar system setup this book is not helpful. It repeats general knowledge about basic types of systems in several applications. It was interesting but somewhat repetitive in that all the solar systems mentioned have the same basic components, ie, solar panels, charge contollers, battery storage systems, inverters and devices which can be powered from a solar system. This book could have been half as long without the repetition of reasons to use solar and apply the systems.

This is a nice manual. The author did a very nice job of clearly labeling and explaining different procedures as outlined in the book. There is some confusion about the series this book is allegedly part of... Which is kind of sad because given the strength of this volume if that's what it is... It would be nice to purchase other manuals.
