I recently installed the AlkiVision 2K Light bulb security camera and am so very happy with it. It was VERY easy to install and to connect to my Wifi network. It took just a few minutes after downloading the app. The 360 degrees motion detection is so cool, and immediately sends a notification to my phone letting me know there was movement. The motion detection itself is very accurate, focusing on the thing/person/animal moving around. The 2K HD video is pretty clear, providing fantastic quality and has great night vision allowing to see at night in full color. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for affordable and effective security solution for the house, garage or backyard! We put this in our basement.

The AlkiVision wireless light bulb camera is very easy to use. There is a QR code on the box to scan that takes you to the app store to download the free app. The pairing process using the app and camera had clear steps to follow for wifi networking and worked the first time through. All I had to do with the actual camera to prepare it was to screw it into a light bulb socket and turn on the power to the light source. I love that there are no batteries or cords to deal with! It is important to note that the power to the light bulb socket must be left on for the camera to continue working. This may incur some electricity costs, but to me it is preferred to having to change out batteries or deal with a cord hanging from the camera. I installed the camera inside for testing purposes but intend to move it outside once I have the operation mastered. The clarity of the picture in the videos is amazing! It is in color and also provides night vision. The horizontal 355° and vertical 90° rotation cover a wide range. It is fun to watch someone start at one side of a room and see the camera automatically adjust to follow them to the other side. I love that you can manually control the directions of the camera using your phone, and you can also depend on the motion sensor for camera movement. The motion sensor can be set to various sensitivities and to detect pets and humans. It sent me alerts accurately stating whether it was pet or human motion detected. You can set the motion detection to just alert you via notification, to sound a loud alarm, or to flash lights. The alarm and lights will alert an unwanted animal or human to the camera and hopefully deter any undesirable activity. The camera has a speaker that allows you to listen for any audio to accompany your video and a microphone you can use for two-way communication. This is beneficial to me, as I have a light socket near my front door, but I cannot install a wired-style doorbell camera due to my home construction. This camera will work perfectly for video and audio. I also like that I can share the camera app access with family members, so others can use the camera as well. This is a quality camera at a great price!

Considering the cost of this camera, it works well. The image is clear both during the day and at night. It isn't as sensitive as I would like it to be and doesn't always catch movement. It loves capturing the wind though. Notifications are a bit delayed. I also wish it had a nightlight, cause I use it on my porch and have no light now that I use the light bulb plug for the camera. But again, for the cost of the camera, it works for what it is intended for.

EDIT #2 Camera does not work. Haven't had it 6 months and it continually stops recording with activity going on, doesn't catch people walking to the front door, now records everything in pink, and after doing all the trouble shooting things tech support has asked, it has completely stopped recording movement. Would give zero stars if I could. Time to find a new brand and light bulb camera. EDIT: I have given up going back and forth via email with tech support trying to get a resolution as to went the camera only records for 10 seconds when it is set to record for 3 minutes. They also can't explain went the camera doesn't record at night. I'm now also noticing it not recording during the day when people are coming or leaving my home. Then the excuse for it to stop recording while motion is occurring is that it is at the edge of the field but that isn't always the case. This was the wrong security camera to get to make sure I'm secure in my home when it doesn't record. The AnkiVision 2K light bulb security camera is great when it wants to work. At first I thought the issues I was having after reading basically all the FAQ's was because the light fixture the bulb was screwed into was on the bottom and I had to flip the camera. Yes it limited the range of motion while it was flipped, so I changed out the light fixture so the bulb now hangs down and the camera is not flipped. The quality of the picture has greatly improved now that it is not flipped but it still will not record in the middle of the night. In the two months that I've had the camera connected only once has it picked up the multiple garbage trucks in the early morning hours. Getting it to record for more than 10 seconds is also a major issue and yes, I actually took advantage of the promo offered when setting up registration so I actually have a year paid subscription. I waited to leave a review thinking it was the old light fixture that was on the house and one that was also a motion sensor light, but that fixture is gone and I'm still having the same issues. There was one time that it showed the UPS driver walking away from the house but not pulling up and walking to the door. Then when the lawn people are cutting the lawn, I get occasional 10 seconds recording, not a longer recording like my setting are set. Reaching out to customer service has not gone over well as I've gotten no response to an email I've sent and attempting to chat with someone each time I've tried they are closed. I rent so needed something that didn't require much installation so was told that a light bulb camera would be the easiest. While the cost of the bulb was great and like I said when it works, those 10 seconds of recording are wonderful even though I have it set for longer, but it does not like to work at night. I've changed setting multiple times to see if maybe I need to do a different setting but it doesn't change. It also does not connect to Alexa and you can only view the camera from a phone, not a computer. There are no real instructions about all the settings, you have to read the FAQ's to try and understand how to do the set up and for someone with experience with security camera's it may be simple but this has not been easy to set up the setting, installing and connecting to the internet was fairly simple, but to record and set up your zones, it is trial and error and I'm not getting the full function of what I need. It is also not an issue with the wifi connection because the modem for the home is just inside the home by where the outside light it so it is not a weak signal, plus it is a nightly occurrence. Every once in awhile will I get something happening during the late night hours and still will miss things that I know are going on outside at night.

I have been using this for a several days now and it’s a great camera. Pros: Very easy set up even if you aren’t great with technology; No wires to plug in or store, no need to charge it; Very user friendly app; Excellent picture quality in both daylight and at night; Rotates in all directions so it’s easy to focus it on wherever you need to or to follow a subject across the visual field; Connects to WiFi (which could be a pro or con depending on where you want to install this). Cons: Bright blue glowing light at night, since this installs into a light socket I had to replace the porch light with this and the blue light is obnoxious and draws attention to the camera; Would be extremely easy for an intruder to remove since it’s just at the top of the door; my covered back porch causes this to have small field of view, the one by my front porch doesn’t have this limitation. Overall this is an awesome product and was 100% worth purchasing, I definitely recommend it.

Needs some improvement. Great idea. Only 1 of 2 bulb cameras work. It fits into a can light fixture but will miss some angle. It turns really well and has decent night vision. It only records for 10 seconds and will miss sometimes, but can be set to follow person when it does detect. I can’t tell if light can activated by motion, so far it does not. I just won’t buy this one again because recording is so short and app is ok.@
