I picked this up to battle the monster mosquitoes we’ve got here in Alabama. These things don’t just bite—they arrive armed. I’ve tried the usual stuff like Off, but I can’t stand that heavy chemical DEET smell. I grew up with the old-school Skin So Soft, the kind that was basically mosquito armor in the ’90s. This version doesn’t smell the same, but it works just as well—maybe even better. It has a slight alcohol scent at first, but that fades fast. It’s not sticky, and once it dries, it leaves a light, invisible barrier that actually keeps the bugs off. The price is a little steep for just 8.5 oz (250 ml), so I got creative. I split it into two smaller spray bottles and added coconut oil to stretch it out. One with regular coconut oil, and one with MCT oil—and both worked great. Plus, it made it go further without messing with how well it works. It’s not the nostalgic scent from my childhood, but it does the job, and that’s what matters. I’ll keep using it—because in Alabama, bug spray isn’t optional. It’s survival.

IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS - I WOULD! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I have used Skin so soft by Avon for decades. THIS IS NOT IT!!! I don't know how Avon doesn't come after them. It is very alcohol smelling, and feeling. I wanted to return IT - but they say it is not eligible for returns. BULL!!! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this as a bug repellant when I'm doing yard work and it worked! It also smells really good, so I sometimes apply it when I want to add a little moisture to my skin. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy and it's lasted several months so far! Even my husband uses it!

Great, but over priced. Smells good, makes skin smooth, also repels bugs!! So all in all worth the price.

It's been a while since I've used Avon's Skin So Soft. I used it primarily in the winters for dry skin. It helped greatly. Finding someone who sells Avon isn't always easy so I was pleased to find it on Amazon though it was bit higher that I had hoped to pay. I ordered the first bottle, 16.9fl oz this past November. I would just pour some in my hands and apply it to my skin. That worked ok but what I wanted was a spray bottle like they used to sell. I checked and they did have a 250ml bottle. It was a bit pricey but I ordered it. The bottle is is nice but it is not easy to hold as their previous bottle was that I had used, nor does it give a spray that applies as good as the previous did. Doubt I'll be ordering another bottle like this. I may just see if I can find one similar to the one I previously used. SOS still helps with my dry skin. 3 stars just due to price and inefficient spray on bottle .

Love this dry oil spray it’s easily absorbed and isn’t oily at all.

Arrived on time. As left outside in the cold the contents had solidified. At the time I was extremely disappointed. After reading some reviews regarding this I wondered if it was warmed up it would become liquid again. It certainly did so now happy customer 😀. Smells lovely

It smells lovely it hydrates the skin and it is not greasy. However, I have used 3 bottles now and, every time, the pump breaks about 1/3 of the way through. This means that you need to use it as a regular oil, rather than an oil spray, which ends up being messy and making it very expensive per use.
