This tester works great. I bought it to replace a different tester that I was using. This tester is so easy to use. And I like how it can test so many different size batteries.

Pretty cool! Especially at this low price. I had a bunch of AAA batteries, some dead, some not, that motivated my purchase. It made them easy to sort into Keep/Discard. Same for some AA. Haven't tested all other sizes yet, but based on AAA and AA I can say that the device's "fit" to the battery is not "perfectly snug", may require a little jiggling to be sure if one is dead, but it does work.

First, the unit works great as a volt meter with a qualitative display for "goodness". But I am not sure I would consider it a "battery tester". To properly test a battery the battery should be placed under some sort of load for some period of time to verify internal resistance is not too high. To verify this I placed a current meter in series with a good (new) AA battery. The tester showed the battery as good but current load was only 20 micro-amps. This is consistent with it just being a volt meter. I would like to have seen a current load somewhere between 20 and 100 milli-amps for 5 to 15 seconds before a "good - no good" determination was made. However, for the price it does a good job of providing useful if not complete information of battery health. The unit makes it a lot easier to measure battery voltage than trying to use a standard volt meter with standard probes. Having a display that also provided the actual measured voltage as well as the bar graph would have been nice as well. 4 stars simply because a load test is not implemented. Otherwise a good unit at a good price.

This Battery Tester is a must-have for quickly checking the charge on a wide range of batteries. The LCD display makes it easy to read, and it works with AA, AAA, 9V, button cells, and more. I love that it’s universal, so I can test multiple battery types around the house. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to use. The included AAA battery is a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a great tool to help prevent wasting batteries and ensures I’m only using fully charged ones.

I love this battery tester. It is the perfect size and of great accuracy. I purchased in the past different tester from Walmart and HomeGoods, but this one has fair better superiority. It is very easy to use and test

Day 1: I'm impressed. My first impressions: This tester is a little smaller than I was expecting, but not inconveniently so. It is amazing how many sizes and types of batteries that this works on. Button batteries and even n size! I've had the type of tester that's common now, where you have to hold the tester in one hand, then place and hold the battery in it, with the other hand and somehow be able to slide the gage down to make solid contact with the upper terminal - no spring-hold on those ones. This unit has precisely fitted slots for each battery type. Very nice. It seems well made and is light. It had a high percentage of 5 star ratings and a sufficiently low percentage of 1 stars for me to give it a shot. The 1 star complaints were mostly about a random battery slot failing to work after the return period. I can't comment on that on day 1. The unit requires a single battery (provided) to power the screen, which only comes on when reading another battery's charge, so battery drain (another complaint, though infrequent) shouldn't be an issue. The manual is almost useless, though. It simply points out what each part of the unit does e.g. D batteries here, AAA batteries there, etc. So far, Top Marks for this product!

I have a number of battery-operated devices and like to take the battery out when not used over a period of time (previous bad experiences with leaked battery juice). This device works on all my battery types and I can tell in an instant which battery is good even though they are all mixed up in my battery storage compartment.
