This is the EXACT same book as Sing a Song of Seasons
The book itself is ok. It's attractive binding, and the poems are ok but not spectacular, especially for the price. My biggest issue is that this book is the EXACT same book as Sing a Song of Seasons by the same author and illustrator. I assumed they just put out a series of these poem a day books. The covers are different, but other than that from the inside decorative paper of the cover, page by page, and all the illustrations they are IDENTICAL in every way. There is no mention of this being a reprinting in the description, at least not when I bought the book, who knows they could add it after they see this. And Amazon even says "this book is often bought with..." and suggests Sing a Song of Seasons right on this page. Maybe this is more an amazon issue and they were published in different places, but I still have two identical except for the cover books, both of which were expensive large hardcovers. Don't make the same mistake!

A Beautiful Book for the Generations
I'm so happy to have this book at home and to pass on my love of poetry to my children. The poems are varied in character, so not everyone will like each one, but it is exposing me to many pieces I had never heard before. The illustrations are full page on every page and the binding is thick. There's even a ribbon so you can keep track of where you are in the year. No regrets with this purchase! I love it.

A daily bit of fun for young people
I gave this book to my 4 year old grandson who reads several years above his age. He reads each day's poem out loud at breakfast. I also gave a copy to my dear friend who teaches second grade: her students of so many different reading levels love it since they can either read the day's poem or search for the poem for their birthday.

Poetry every day of the year.
This is a big thick book full of poems for every day. A great book to introduce poetry to young people. Illustrations are colorful and adds another dimension to the poetry on the page. Nosy crow once again delivers wonderful books for children.

One of our best book purchases this year!!
This is an amazing poetry book! It is beautifully illustrated with a great variety of poetry, we look forward to reading our poem every day. There is a poem for every day of the year and they coincide with the seasons, etc. It is a lovely collection and we will use it over and over again.

Beautifully Done!
This treasury of poems is very well done. It is larger than I expected, with thick pages and beautiful illustrations. I’ve been enjoying the poems and my 3.5 year old loves them too. I’m sure this will be a treasured family book. I plan on purchasing additional copies to give as gifts.

A delight for children and adults alike.
Kate Wilson, the publisher of this wonderful book, writes at the beginning of her introduction:“For my seventh birthday, my parents gave me a book containing – like this one – hundreds of poems. It was a small, fat book without pictures. At first, I found it daunting: without pictures there was nothing to catch my eye, nothing to lead me into the book…”I feel sure Kate must be talking about The Book of a Thousand Poems which I received at that age and was also my introduction to poetry. She continues:“My idea was to make a book as rich as the one I loved so much, but to make something that was more beautiful and easier to find your way into. And I wanted, too, to make a book that helped you see the world around you.”This book is a real joy and I feel sure the five-year old recipient will love having a poem read to her every night and will adore the delightful illustrations. It will be a Christmas gift to her – just in time to start it on the first day of the New Year!

The perfect gift
This book is outstandingly good. Purchased to share with my adult autistic son. I am reading one poem a night with him. The poems so far have been such a delight. The illustrations are superb, atmospheric and inspiring. This book would be a perfect present for a child of any age. It will delight anyone with a love of nature. It is very thought provoking and heart warming. This would make a great coffee table book In a country house or holiday cottage and would be enjoyed and shared by adults and children alike. What a find.

A book wich is the [perfect gift
Oh wow, what an absolutely beautiful book, as reflected in the price. The format and the colourful pages with their exquisite illustrations is unbelievably attractive. Then the choice of poems ,of course, with its wide selection, would certainly tempt anyone who is not familiar with poetry to delve deeper into it. I could only wish that someone might be inspired to make me a gift of this treasury of poems. I bought this book as a Christmas gift for friends of mine and I couldn't put it down. Perhaps in time I may be able to buy a `used` copy for myself. I recommend it without hesitation. Thanks to Amazon it arrived quickly with protective packaging to avoid any blemish

Amazing
This an astonishing collection. It is quite difficult to say what age the book is for. The collection follows the seasons with one poem per day throughout the year. There are wonderful illustrations as well. I reckon it is a book for life. It is quite heavy. The poems are by a wide range of poets both old and new, not too long, all just about right, and very varied. Superb.
