£48 reduced from £60 at time of review I’m in the process of upgrading my home network with Cat 7 cables and 2.5Gbps adapters on my computers and NAS so needed to swap out my old 1G switch, wow what a difference! Most of the time I’m just connecting to the internet (which is a 1Gig connection via Three, which I can’t recommend enough!). Anyway this thing is brilliant, no bottle necks, full 1G to the internet and a noticeable difference connecting to my NAS, everything just worked seamlessly and so fast. Streaming my Plex & Jellyfin at full res has been no problem, and backing up my computers and working off the NAS has been a dream come true, super happy with this switch, highly recommend! Works great and has allowed full use of 2gbps broadband to be piped around the house, just plug and play. Good value when compared to alternatives and have no problem recommending it.

I bought the BrosTrend 8-Port 2.5Gb Ethernet Switch to upgrade my network and take full advantage of multi-gig speeds across my devices – including a NAS, gaming PC, and a couple of Wi-Fi 6E access points. It has exceeded expectations in every way. ✅ Pros: True 2.5Gb on All Ports: No shared bandwidth or bottlenecks. I’m seeing full 2.5Gbps speeds between all connected devices using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables. Silent Operation: Fanless design means it's completely silent – perfect for a home office or living room. Unmanaged Simplicity: No configuration needed. Just plug in and it works. Solid Build: Sturdy metal housing with good weight to it. Feels durable and stays cool even under constant use. Improved Latency for Gaming: I noticed slightly lower ping and faster transfer speeds when gaming or moving large files to/from my NAS. ❌ Cons: No LEDs for individual link speed (just activity), which would’ve been a nice touch. Slightly bigger footprint than a standard gigabit switch, but nothing extreme. This BrosTrend switch is a great way to future-proof your network without jumping to full 10G infrastructure. It’s fast, stable, and ideal for anyone who needs more than gigabit speeds but doesn’t want to deal with fans, heat, or enterprise gear. Small, Lightweight, Easy Plug and Play. Have only utilised 4 Ports so far so haven’t fully tested if there is a drop in speed with more devices connected but I doubt there would be. Stuck it on the wall with Command Strips. Wish it had a white cable and plug instead of black as the rest of my network kit including the switch is white in colour. Also a bit annoying that the cable comes out the top of the plug and not the bottom as I didn’t have much space as it’s plugged into a socket near the ceiling.

Has worked faultlessly since purchase with great speeds.

The switch is lightweight but well made. Used double sided tapes to fix it up on the wall. Works absolutely fine and get full 2.5Gb speed across the home over Cat5e wiring. Can't fault at all at this price!

Plug and play, works fine, computer connected at 2500Mbps. Now I need more 2500Mbps devices but at least I have plenty of throughput.

The value for money on this product is perfect, connectivity is top notch and very easy to setup
