Urbani Black Summer Truffle 30g, Pack of 6

I love truffles. But I can only assume from some positive reviews, and her opinion, that some people notice the flavour of these examples in a way I do not. To me, they have a barely perceptible odour and flavour on their own and none when put in cooking - I put them in chicken and ham ravioli I make, and risotto. *** Rating is an avarage of her 5 stars and my one star. Still, it's Christmas.

Truffles where well packed and relatively cheap but really lack the flavour I expect from truffles

Smelt and looked great. But soft and not as much flavour as expected. Next time I will spend more and not be so tight! My advice is do the same. Soend more!

The cheapest truffle of Amazon provides little flavour , it’s a nice garnish and served as a cool add on but in flavour it lacks.

I was happy with the product, it looked like and came like how it was pictured on the photo.

I have had truffles for a large part of my life, from different countries and suppliers and these are the least truffle like truffles I have ever had. They have no smell or flavour, they are cheap however, I recommend spending a little extra to get properly preserved ones.

Yeah, they're not Périgord or Alba, but they look OK, and I slice them and stick them in virgin oil with a few drops of white Truffle essence. After a few days they are great as a sexy garnish. Great value if you do this to them, otherwise, well they are slightly mushroomy, though not very authentic.

Subtle flavour. Not able to grate as very soft due to storage in liquid, but added a nice flavour to foods.

Good value. I have bought 3 and will continue to buy as I use a lot and for what it is it's a good price makes them an affordable luxury if they were any more expensive it wouldn't be good value as the flavour is only what you pay for.

Lovely size truffles each, but unfortunately no flavour

This product is a waste of money. The truffles are tasteless and chewy.

A big song and dance is made about truffles; but for my part, it did nothing for me. I will not be going down that route anytime soon.

The listing is misleading as it says pack of 6 - assumption being there are 6 truffles in there or there are 6 jars. Was not the case. It is 1 jar with 2 truffles.Scam?

Not genuine truffles, these are I believe to be the similar looking false truffles which are edible but have no flavour or smell remotely like real truffle and as you can see they don't have the marbling that real truffles have. Don't waste your money on them. One was riddled with maggots as shown in the picture.

Considering how pungent truffles are I don’t know how they managed to completely remove all taste and flavour from these. They have zero taste. Waste of money
