A good start on a world translation book for children
AN E-BOOK WAS PURCHASED. This is a good idea for a book, but it needs more pages with illustrations. (The illustrations are cute and different!) On the side of each page, it lists what each country's word is for the illustrated word from a different country. These include words like "hello," "yes," "no," with a few rarely used words. (Spoiler: However, I like the translation for *** - as it may be fun for the child to learn, and hopefully won't offend whomever the child says that word to!) The children (or adult helping them) may need to keep flipping back to the beginning page with all the flags to know what country each phrase is from. Adding the name of each country by their flags throughout the book would be much more helpful. Also, a few more commonplace phrases need to be added, like "Where is the bathroom,"I like you" (in place of "I love you"), "I need help," "mother," "father," "bus," "hotel," etc. A good start for a book on beginning words or phrases from different countries for children! (The book seems too short.) I understand this is Book 2, but it still seems too short.

We love this book. The author came highly recommended from our child's daycare teachers. One of our children has memorized the author's first book and this one lives up to the hype. I recommend all Otohata's books. She is a special children's author.
