Happy plants with this fantastic self-watering system!
I love my Rainpoint watering system. This is, in fact, the third set I buy, not because they stopped working, but because I'm very happy with how it works (and I keep getting more plants)! So all my plants will now be self-watered whilst I am away. No more having to ask favours from any friends! I bought my first set as a trial before going on a one week holiday, earlier this year, and it worked to perfection. In fact, I have left it permanently installed with my most delicate plants (orchids, etc.) , which I have put all together in one area. So last month I bought a second set, and just now a third one (which I am currently setting up) to be able to water all my plants, as I prepare for a longer holiday. I haven't put these last two to use yet, but I am confident they'll keep all my plants alive and healthy while I'm away (seeing how well the first set is working!). After building three watering systems, I can say that the absolute key to setting up all the tubes/valves/heads is leaving the tip of the tubes in very hot water for a couple of seconds (I have the kettle by my side when doing this), so the tips become malleable/soft and can be inserted more easily in the valves/heads. This also allows for the tube to be inserted to the very top of each piece (where it's meant to be), avoiding leaks afterwards. Once the system is built with the many heads I need, then I make several tests with glasses, adjusting the quantity of water delivered by each head, to ensure each plant will get the exact amount of water to thrive. The irrigation timing is very easy to set up following the instructions too. It's really very user friendly. So, I totally recommend this Rainpoint watering set. I bought all mine at three different times when they were on offer, but even at its normal price I think it's definitely very good value for money, because it works well and keeps your plants alive when you're away. So one less thing to be worried about!

Effective, simple and reliable system to look after your plants
I needed a simple and reliable system to water indoor plants and bonsai trees while on holiday for 3 weeks. Reviewed the market and Rainpoint looked to tick all the buttons - I purchased their automatic watering system and am so glad I did. It was quick and easy to set up and instructions were very clear to follow. Once the network of tubes/drippers was put together I put it on a test run to check and manage the flow rates into each pot (which can be done if needed at each individual outlet). This took no more than just over an hour from unpacking the box. With the system set up it was then very straightforward to programme the watering pattern. After 3 weeks away I returned to find all the plants if excellent health having been correctly watered over this period. This included 5 bonsai trees where you have to be fairly accurate about watering (not too much and definitely not to little). The accurate pump flow volume figure allows you to calculate the amount of water needed in the reservoir based on the duration of watering needed, times watered each day and duration of the time away. There are 2 options to power the pump (battery and USB/power-plug connection), so always a back up should either the batteries run down or a power cut to the mains electricity supply. Thoroughly recommended

Nigh-perfect.
Cheaper than scammy alternatives, is now perfectly irrigating my greenhouse. I have it hooked up to the water tank of my dehumidifier and the two are working perfectly together. Pros: Easy to set up Reliable Multiple power options Cons: Can be prone to leakage at the valves

Well-engineered, quality piece of equipment
High quality, very easy to set up. Once calibrated it is very simple to maintain. Set up is simple. I bought a 15 litre clear plastic bin with a lid to prevent evaporation from the reservoir. Drilled a 7 mm hole through it, and poked the intake through, before fixing the strainer. I also cut a 50 mm hole in the lid with a hole saw, and inset and glued a small funnel so the reservoir can be topped up without removing the lid. On installation, I placed the blue regulators only 50 mm from the watering spikes, so everything is within the plant pots, to prevent external leakake. To calibrate the system I put each watering head into a mug for a day so see how much water was delivered to each plant. Then I halved the duration of each cycle, and used a blue valve to reduce the flow to one head, so all plants got what they needed. Then ran for a week, found the plants were too wet, so changed the frequency of watering from twice a day to once a day. I also cellotaped a strip of paper to the outside of the Reservoir, marked off in 1 litre increments, so I can see how much water is being fed to the plants each week. Then I refill it to the 10 litre mark, and start again. It's easy and just common sense. Great system!

The Rainpoint Automatic watering device is one nice product! It is extremely easy to use and setup. The large printed instructions are easy to follow. they clearly show how to set it up with pictures showing proper pump placement so that you avoid the dreaded " siphoning effect " preventing a very wet floor. I tested my system with a gallon jug in the beginning then switched to a larger reservoir for the final setup once I was satisfied. The Rainpoint Drip works perfectly. No mess whatsoever. The Rainpoint uses low voltage USB power with a battery backup system, although the drip system will operate on the four AA batteries, I chose to use the Rainpoint USB and battery backup. It is so nice not to have to manually water everyday. Basically I check the system a couple of times a week, add water to the reservoir when needed. I totally agree with the Rainpoint instructions, be sure to check the batteries once monthly, remove the batteries from this device if it's going to be stored. Also; the battery box lid slides back a 1/4" then lifts straight up. The best part is the watering schedule can be programmed for multiple times daily, multiple days, and weekly. We grow indoor vegetables and herbs year round, watering has always been a issue when we travel. Not anymore, the RAINPOINT Drip Irrigation Kit does a wonderful job for us! The Rainpoint kit has everything that you will ever need to set the system up and water multiple plants Guaranteed!! The Rainpoint warranty is 180 days unconditional, followed by five years of after sales service even if the original return window has passed! The RAINPOINT company provides all contact information to reach them, watch videos, pretty much anywhere in the world with every order. Wow! Who does that anymore?

I'm really bad about over or under watering indoor plants so I thought this would be just the thing I needed. It was easy to set up and now my bad watering skills are removed from the equation so my plants don't all die of human error!

I've had several of these type pumps - like most electronics there are lots of identical and similar products. Even this seller is confused, as the pump I received came in a box marked "Wi-Fi timer" and had other references to wifi on it. It isn't. Also the same pump is listed on another page. Here's a few things to know about this model 1K10P, which available from Rainpoint elsewhere: The pump is above average. I tested it's 'head' at 9 feet and it still put out a decent flow. This set has plenty of connectors and hose. But it only comes with root drippers. If you want adjustable drippers, you'll have to supplement. The timer is limited to 0-59 seconds, then whole minutes. You can't do 90 seconds, or 2 minutes 30 seconds, etc. If you do want to have a water source even or higher than the pump, simply run 1 dripper back to the reservoir (before the check valve, if you use it. ) That way air gets back in the line when the pump turns off, preventing the siphon. Regardless of what timer you get, plan for the worst. My first one (Not this brand) got stuck in the on position. If I hadn't been there, it would have flooded my house.

I have two plants up above my bed that I tend to forget watering, so when I found this I knew I had to have it. I could have sworn that when I ordered this the listing said that it had wifi controls, but a few months later it doesn't anymore. Rainpoint does sell watering kits with wifi controllers, but this one was not wifi controlled. That doesn't matter too much, since it's really not necessary once you get it on a timer. You set the frequency of the watering- I have it set to every 24 hours. You set how long you want the water pump to run every watering, which I have set to 20 seconds, but you can set that number higher if you want to. From there, you use the included water line and anchors to wire up the feedline you want for however many plants you want, although I just set it up for two plants. It comes with tons of anchors and lots of water line, which is why you might want to have the pump running length higher than 20 seconds. Once that's set up, get a reservoir and run your intake line into the reservoir. Keep the reservoir topped up, and you're good to go! I've been using mine for the last 3 months now, and every night it runs and I don't have to think about it. I've had no issues with leaks or pump failure, and I'm happy with this one.

This thing is really cool. You can set a schedule to run for so many minutes every so many hours or days. USB powered with AA battery backup (I wouldn't run on just batteries). The watering is consistant. There is a metering channel in each of the dripper stakes. There is no adjustment however the channel could possibly be cut to allow more flow for bigger pots. I have not experimented with this yet. There is a lot more tubing and fittings than I was expecting. Install was quick and easy. Instructions are OK. I added some ball bearings to the pickup filter housing to keep it weighed down in the bucket. I would recommend doing this, a rock or something would work great too. The bottom pops right off. Initially I set it for a 20 min cycle and kept track of runtime. Once I was happy with the watering how I usually do it, I marked the time. This is my water time and I set it to my normal schedule of every 3 days. If you change the settings after this it does reset the timer and it will run the first watering again. You can cancel this by pushing the ok button and the pump will stop however your schedule will be reset so only do this on watering days if needed.
