The night vision binoculars are excellent for the price but there are some functionality details that will be useful to know prior to purchase. They are excellent as long as expectations are managed based on the price. First, the presentation with how the item is shipped along with what you get is that of a higher end item. The y did an excellent job with this. The functionality of the item, it is easy to use, the user interface is fairly easy to manage. The item is not too heavy. During day use, the digital binoculars are amazing. They work excellent and the Color and sharpness of the picture is great. It has a flashlight to be used with dusk mode that makes anything within close range clearly visible. The IR night vision use of this item works well to excellent. There are different levels of output for the IR emitter. A person is able to see 100 to 150 feet out easily I’m ir mode. The only issue I’ve found is, the ir emitter seems to send out a more focused light beam so while you are looking and using the night vision. The amount of area lit up by the emitter seems to be narrow and focused to a point. The unit would be fully amazing if this was not the case. The emitter will light up a focused point to where maybe you are able to see the area you are looking at in 1?4 to half the screen well. If the emitter would spread the light out more, i think you would get better functionality out of the unit. Although the way it is, the item is more than useable. I’ve been able to pick out armadillos in the middle of a pitch black night up to 300 feet away. So to reiterate, the item is way more than i expected for the money. I’d expect to spend closer to 500 to get a unit that is packaged and set up like such a higher end model. The only small kink in it is the ir emitter that doesn’t spread the light beam across the entire field of view, although for the money the functionality that it does have is way more than i expected. I’ve let a few of my neighbors use it, They were thoroughly impressed. So much so they offered to purchase them from me for between 400 and 600 bucks. I don’t think you can go wrong with purchasing a set of these, especially for the money.

I purchased this and another camera once I read specifications below are the PROS and CONS. PROS: This has a nice display, fair digital zoom, Optical zoom is focus point I believe. good IR light control. I can focus on objects 300+ feet away, Strap and Tripod mount SD card included. It has a backlight for buttons, Lithium battery rather than 6AA battery. Easy to find settings in dark. Overall rating: Better IR view than expected ( I have home security camera that use IR night vision ) I like the backlight and rechargeable battery! Covenant settings for controls in the dark. Better MP camera but focus and view not as good

Would love to use these. Have tried to many times but the IR illuminator is set way too high to use even at distances over 100 yards. Features and screen are top notch but the Night Vision will not work correctly due to the IR.

clear picture day or night. the 3.9in screen is super crisp. only drawback is in bright sun you can't see too well.

I ended up returning these. I couldn’t figure out how to work them.

Pros: Came with just about everything you could think of and has a great look and feel to it. Has a temperature gauge built in. Came with a compass that you can attach as well as a lens cleaner, neck strap, nice carrying case and a set of instructions and even a micro-SD card. Also has a built-in flash light with two modes and can be connected to a tripod – which I highly recommend if possible. Very easy to use, navigate the buttons, setup and get started once you’ve charged it up and it can do videos or photos and you can play back right on the device. Cons: More like a nice thing to have and impress your friends than for serious night time work but what can one expect at this price? What I mean is, when you turn IR on to start using night vision, you only get a little screen vs. the whole screen and if you don’t focus in really well, it’s hard to make items out. I’m trying to get some shots of the owls in my trees but it’s going to take lots of practice and patience. I could be spoiled because I’ve used military night vision goggles back in my early days when we used to do night ops – no joke. Unless I missed it, there is nothing in the instruction booklet that explains the removeable IR cut filter and when to use or not use it but other than this, the instructions are very good. In conclusion: You get a lot for around a hundred bucks. As you can see above, there are a lot of pros. While this does not have the quality of a set of $1000+ Night Vision Goggles, I didn’t expect it to at this price and I’m quite impressed with all that’s included as well as the features so I’m going to provide a strong four stars.

Great night vision binoculars for someone who is starting out. Good features. 4x zoom good ir function good quality for the price.

So far so good! I am impressed. Used for up to an hour so far. Great for recreational use.
