So far, so good
This is exactly what it expected it to be & I'm very pleased with my purchase. I use this tool for a wide variety of things on a regular basis. I had a blue one that I bought on here a few yrs back & it was great until I asked it to cut through 1/4" thick piece of wood w a pretty toothy saw blade (a job requiring that level of torque would have been appropriate for a basic standard sized model genuine dremel tool); it was getting the job done for approx 45 sec to 1 min until it abruptly stopped...forever! That was back in the fall & until I got this one a cpl wks ago, I have been lost without my handy little rotary tool. So many instances I needed this but didn't have it until I had to ordered a new one! Most recurring job i use this for is for filing the dog nails as well as doing Russian manicures & pedicures on myself & anyone else who might ask. I am awful at getting a screw started if I don't have a pilot hole...I've used the tiniest drill bit included to do just that on a few occasions. I have modified many things that needed just a little something to b perfect, most recently the phone case for my flip 5. I have engraved more items than I'd ever be able to recall The uses for this tool are vast and extremely practical in anyone's day to day. Can't imagine anyone regretting this purchase unless the device itself was defective, which this one is not!! Highly recommend Light weight but not to the point of feeling cheap or flimsy, 5 speeds which all have their uses. Love the LED light as well as the ease of changing the bits. My last one came w 5 collets & a wide variety of other bits, sanding bands, buffling wheels, etc so the fact that this one didn't come w much at all was fine w me. I would definitely recommend to anyone to get a pack of collets in various sizes; after that ensure you have the bits for ur most intended uses. The plastic box of bits in the image is the pairing of 2 separate sets i ordered a few yrs back for use on my natural & artificial nails. Still use them often...they remain in excellent working condition.

I'm gonna get a spare, it's so good!
Wonderful tool for my carving hobby! Battery lasts longer than I expected and charges quickly enough. Has a good weight, not heavy, nor awkward to operate. Being cordless is a real game changer! Definitely one of the better rotary tool kits I've purchased. Worth what I paid for it.

Nice little rotary tool
Works well for small jobs. Not the most powerful tool out there but pretty handy for detail work.

a nice tough little handy grinder carver to have. Thanks!!!
This tool has exceeded my expectations. And great price. Great for wood carving. I even abused the thing on difficult steel carving parts, and it keeps on going. I would get another one for sure.

One fairly significant design issue
There are several brands of basically the same tool. I believe they all likely have the same issue. There’s no one button on/off switch. If something happens suddenly and you need to shut the tool off, then you need to progressively push the minus button multiple times until it steps down to being off. To me that’s a safety issue. I tried it with a pretty standard-length carbide burr and the tool lacks enough power to keep the speed up to the point that it needs to be to avoid skipping on the part. I was grinding a very short piece of a the brass mandrel of a Copper rivet. The mandrel broke in the wrong spot. I cut it as close as I could and so I was grinding a little more than a sixteenth of an inch of what remained. It worked but it was difficult to control. For those reasons I plan to return it. I normally use a hand held corded rotary tool or an air die-grinder. I wanted something for small jobs, requiring more dexterity and cordless was a benefit. I didn’t expect it to be as good as a corded rotary tool but unfortunately this type of tool is too much of a step down and I could see myself never really using it. On the positive side: -Nice size to handle: It does have variable speed but, based on using my corded rotary tool, I went immediately to the fastest setting on this tool and I likely would have preferred a little faster. -Includes 3 collets and at least 2 are different sizes. -Thumb lock which you can push to stop the rotation while tightening the collet cover. -USB-C charging so there’s no battery to replace. That said though, if the charge is low, you cannot simply swap a battery. Initially I was looking for something compatible to the BOSCH 12V batteries because I love their compact 12V drill. Dremel can use the BOSCH batteries but the Dremel tool which takes it is the same size as my corded rotary tool; meaning the only reason to buy it would be the convenience of being cordless.

Small Tool, big power
This little thing is perfect for the small projects I need them for. I make jewelry and wood products as well, so I use it to drill tiny earring holes in resin and drilling pilot holes in wood, also use the sanding bit for wood projects when needed. Easy to use and loosen the chuck when needed and it has great power, speed and battery life. I love the size of it and the fact that it’s cordless. Only disappointment is I wish you could reorder the specific size tiny drill bits, etc. because they are TINY and can snap and break easily if not careful. I dropped accidentally on my work desk one time and the drill bit snapped off. It’s hard to find that same size to fit the chuck in the wild.

DANGEROUS POORLY MADE
Very sketchy dangerous product. The bit and end tips come out mid-drill causing them to SHOOT OUT which is an extreme safety hazard. The battery does not last long and you’ll have to constantly recharge it. The buttons are poorly made small and hard to press. there isn’t any safety features to stop you from hurting your skin/fingers, and it tends to get really overheated.

Great buy
Great tool. Every feature works well. I haven't used it on wood yet, but a hobby of mine is making figures and it works wonders on plastic. Very nice & useful product.
