I’ve tried a lot of soil amendments over the years, but Char Bliss Premium Biochar genuinely stands out as one of the best additions I’ve made to my garden. This is an excellent additive to a chunky soil mix. I have not had a single plant with root rot since I began adding it. Unlike other brands I have tried, this product doesn't have a lot of dust at the bottom.

I loved the size, texture of this charcoal. It’s so small I can easily mix this within my soil mixture or add along the top of my plants. This is pure charcoal so I know my plants will receive the full benefits . Charcoal is excellent for filtering chemicals,toxins and keeping the soil clean and when added along the top of the soil it keeps away those pesky gnats.

I purchased this to see if it would make a difference in my potted fig tree collection and can definitely say the plants that I did my initial trials really were more vigorous and grew larger. I now add this into all of my soil soil mixes at the rate of 1 cup per 3 cubic feet. Very pleased with it. It is well ground, dark black, and not too dusty. This definitely sweetens the soil and seems to deter mold (important as I keep my young fig starts very moist.
